Thinking back to the fourth season of the hit comedy series Friends, one can’t help but feel overwhelmed. While the previous three seasons saw many relationships flourish and fall apart, careers be built up and ruined, and, of course, a series of hilarious and near-impossible bits, this one just threw a whole lot of information at the audience’s faces. But being the incredible show it was, everybody was more than ready for it and happy to be treated to a whole new series of episodes.

Between Ross getting married, Phoebe getting pregnant with triplets, Chandler and Joey almost ruining their friendship over a woman, there’s a lot to wrap your head around. There were twenty-four incredible episodes to choose from, and here, we’re taking a look back at the best of the bunch!

10 The One with the Dirty Girl (8.5)

Kathy’s birthday is fast approaching, and Chandler has the perfect gift for her. This throws Joey off, and he goes on a mission to find an even better present. Even though Chandler allows him to give Kathy the present he bought, Kathy knows the truth.

Meantime, Ross starts dating what seems like the perfect girl. But as it turns out, her apartment is absolutely disgusting. Things only get worse when she tells Ross that his apartment has a weird smell!

9 The One with the ‘Cuffs (8.5)

When Chandler sleeps with Rachel’s boss, he ends up handcuffed and half-naked in her office, and even though Rachel tries to help him out, she doesn’t want Joanna to know she was in her office.

Meantime, Monica caters a party for her mother and, as usual, aims for perfection. But when she loses a nail in a quiche, chaos ensues. Thankfully, everything goes just right for Monica.

8 The One with the Free Porn (8.6)

Phoebe finds out that the treatment was successful…a little too successful because now her brother will be having triplets. He will now have to quit college in order to support the family, and Phoebe decides to help out by giving massages out from her taxi.

In the meantime, Chandler and Joey accidentally find a channel that has free porn. But now they can’t change the channel, otherwise, they’ll never find the channel with free porn ever again.

7 The One with All the Haste (8.7)

The girls can’t stand being at Chandler and Joey’s apartment anymore and come up with a plan in order to win it back. After tricking the boys into attending a basketball game, they move all of their things back to their place.

In the meantime, Emily has to go back to London once again, and Ross decides he can’t do it anymore. In spite of what Chandler and Joey think, he decides to ask her to be his wife.

6 The One Where Chandler Crosses the Line (8.7)

Ross decides to take on one of his old passions – playing the keyboard. Of course, he’s absolutely horrible, but Phoebe doesn’t agree and encourages him to keep playing, to everyone’s dismay.

Chandler finally sees a chance to talk Joey out of seeing Kathy but ends up confessing that he kissed her and that’s why Joey and Kathy broke up, leaving Joey fuming and feeling betrayed.

5 The One with Ross’s Wedding (8.7)

It’s time for the gang to head out to London for Ross and Emily’s wedding. Joey, of course, ends up forgetting everything that is useful and acts like the typical tourist when they arrive.

Back in New York, a very pregnant Phoebe is left to help Rachel figure out how she truly feels about the wedding. Rachel realizes how much she still loves Ross and decides to fight for him one more time.

4 The One with Chandler in a Box (9.1)

When Monica accidentally gets ice in her eye, she heads out to have it treated. The doctor ends up being her ex-boyfriend, Richard’s, son, and things get a little bit confusing.

Chandler, heartbroken over the fact that Joey won’t be his friend anymore, attempts to win his forgiveness using a very strange tactic – he will lie inside a wooden box for six whole hours!

3 The One with the Jellyfish (9.1)

Picking up where the last season left off, “The One With The Jellyfish” sees Ross and Rachel kissing after they made up. But when Ross finds out that he accidentally assumed the guilt for everything that went wrong between them, they fight again.

At the beach, Monica is stung by a jellyfish, leaving Chandler to pee on her leg in order to ease the pain. Phoebe is still processing the information she received about her family.

2 The One with Ross’s Wedding: Part 2 (9.2)

It’s the second part of the wedding episode, and the season finale as well. Rachel is on her way to London to try and win Ross back, and during the ceremony, the infamous scene where he says her name at the altar takes place.

This was also the iconic episode where Monica and Chandler slept together for the first time, marking the beginning of what would become one of the most beautiful relationships on the show.

1 The One with the Embryos (9.5)

Phoebe has accepted to become the surrogate for her brother and his wife, and they receive very happy news when the doctor tells them that the procedure was successful and she is, indeed, pregnant.

Meantime, Rachel and Monica take on a challenge imposed by Chandler and Joey, and one fatal mistake made by Rachel leads to the girls losing their apartment to the guys.
