Full House is a sitcom classic for a reason, with the hilarity of the Tanner family balanced out perfectly with true moments of sadness and depth. But even though Full House gets real from time to time, it’s still a wholesome, cheerful, inspiring show… almost as much as Disney is!

Disney is known for sweet, charming stores – whether they are romance or family-focused, and sometimes it feels like the Tanners (and their friends) just need a little animation to turn them into full-blown Disney characters themselves. But if they were matched with some of your Disney favorites from existing films, who would everyone line up with?

9 Danny – Marlin

Danny Tanner cares deeply for his family and is extremely overprotective of his three daughters as a single parent (who gets help from the girls’ two uncles as they all live in the same house). Danny is just like Marlin, as both are meticulous parents who are overprotective due to the tragic premature deaths of their partners. Marlin being so overprotective of Nemo that he barely lets him leave for school is incredibly similar to Danny’s parenting style of D.J., Stephanie, and Michelle.

8 Uncle Jesse – Flynn Rider

Both Flynn Rider from Tangled and Uncle Jesse have a tough bravado, but a soft and loveable personality under their rough exterior as Flynn shows Rapunzel he cares and Jesse constantly shows his nieces his love and affection. Uncle Jesse is a confident and suave character who cares deeply about his looks and appearance while also caring about his family and those he loves. It’s also clear that Flynn also thinks highly of his looks and begins the film as incredibly vain as he’s upset that none of the wanted posters he’s depicted in are drawn correctly.

7 Uncle Joey – Genie

Both Uncle Joey and Genie from Aladdin are all about the jokes. Joey is constantly trying to make everyone around him laugh and his family, especially his nieces, appreciate the comedic relief and love and caring he provides as he, Uncle Jesse, and Danny raise them.

Genie is also constantly trying his hardest to be a carefree comedian, but it’s clear that he cares about Aladdin as the two have become close throughout the film.

6 D.J. – Belle

D.J. is the eldest daughter of the Tanners and because their mother has passed away D.J. tends to look after her younger sisters and shows them great sympathy and responsible maturity for her age. Belle in Beauty and the Beast has a similar personality trait as she tends to take care of her ailing father, Maurice, because she knows it’s the right thing to do. Although most of the time D.J. is well-adjusted, she still goes through her moments of teenage rebellion against her controlling father, similar to Belle rebelling against her small and routine life in the town that doesn’t appreciate her.

5 Stephanie – Anna

Although Anna is the youngest sister in Frozen and Stephanie is the middle sister in the Tanner family they’re quite similar. Both Anna and Stephanie have bubbly and talkative personalities and have hot and cold relationships with their older sisters even though there’s clearly a deep caring between the pair of sisters. Both Anna and Stephanie are well-behaved but have had moments of rebellion that both deeply regret, like when Stephanie drove a car into the kitchen.

4 Michelle – Vanellope von Schweetz

Michelle is the youngest Tanner daughter and is often seen as the adorable baby of the family. Although, at first, Vanellope is seen as an outcast both Michelle and Vanellope from Wreck-It Ralph are loud, loveable, and at times obnoxious characters. They both know that they’re adorable and use that trait to their advantage whether it’s Vanellope asking Ralph to help her make a car or Michelle trying to get another cookie from one of her parental figures with a cute smile and her “you got it, dude” catchphrase.

3 Aunt Becky – Sarabi

Aunt Becky is a strong female character on Full House and begins the show as Danny’s co-host on their morning show “Wake Up, San Francisco” and eventually Becky and Jesse get married after she is accepted into the Tanner household. Becky and Sarabi from The Lion King are similar because they’re both strong female characters and fierce mothers who would do anything to protect their children and their family. Sarabi stands up to Scar to protect the Pride and Becky would do anything for the Tanner daughters and her sons Alex and Nicky.

2 Kimmy – Kuzco

Kimmy Gibbler is D.J.’s best friend and a frequent visitor of the Tanner house who the rest of the family reluctantly allows in their house even though most of the other characters are annoyed by her.

Both Kimmy and Kuzco from The Emperor’s New Groove have similar over-the-top personalities and think highly of themselves even though most of the people around them find them annoying. Kuzco is tolerated because he is the Emperor, but everyone is scheming to get him off the throne, just like everyone schemes to kick Kimmy out of the house.

1 Steve – Hercules

D.J. and Steve had a relationship for a long time on the show and was a recurring character in the Tanner family’s lives. Both Steve and Hercules are loyal, adventurous, loving, and athletic characters who want to take care of those they love the most. Hercules is loyal and loving toward Megara while Steve would do anything for D.J. even after their break-up since he still cares for her. Steve is an athletic star on the wrestling team and Hercules has obvious athletic and heroic abilities being a demigod.
