Genshin Impact 2.4: All Shenhe & Yun Jin Ascension Materials

Genshin Impact‘s newest characters Shenhe and Yun Jin were announced on social media at the beginning of the 2.3 update. These long-awaited polearm users will presumably be available during the 2.4 patch, which is still some time away. Following the traditional six-week time frame, Genshin Impact 2.4 will probably release sometime early in the new year. Both characters are now in beta testing, which means that pretty much everything about them has been leaked, including their level-up materials.

There has been quite a bit of controversy around Genshin Impact leaks, especially back in September when miHoYo launched an effort to put an end to them. And while story leaks are certainly never a good thing, leaks pertaining to new characters can actually be very beneficial. At this point, once a new Genshin Impact character makes it to beta testing, it is practically guaranteed that everything about that character will become public knowledge.

Both Shenhe and Yun Jin are Liyue characters, which means that Genshin Impact is starting to move its focus away from Inazuma. Considering the Chasm is expected to release early next year, this makes perfect sense – though Dendro characters are notably still absent from the game. Shenhe and Yun Jin were actually leaked earlier in the year, so their arrival was anticipated by more than a few players. Now that their release is seemingly near, it is time for players to begin farming for their expected Character and Talent Ascension materials.

Genshin Impact 2.4: Shenhe’s Character & Talent Ascension Materials

As expected for Genshin Impact 2.4, Shenhe is a Cryo polearm user, so like all other Cryo characters, she will need the Shivada Jade items. In order to ascend Shenhe to level 90, players will need to gather a total of 1 Shivada Jade Sliver, 9 Shivada Jade Fragments, 9 Shivada Jade Chunks, and 6 Shivada Jade Gemstones. There are various ways to get these items, including the Cryo Regisvine and the Cryo Hypostasis.

Next, Shenhe requires 168 Qingxin Flowers, which can be found around Liyue, particularly in high places. Shenhe is getting her own boss, which will allegedly be called the Bathysmal Vishaps. Not much is known about this new boss just yet, but Shenhe will require 46 Dragonheir’s False Fins that are dropped by the Bathysmal Vishaps. Lastly, players will need to find 18 Whopperflower Nectar, 30 Shimmering Nectar, 36 Energy Nectar, and 420,000 Mora.

For Shenhe’s Talents, she will need 9 Teachings of Prosperity, 63 Guides to Prosperity, and 114 Philosophies of Prosperity. Players can find the Prosperity Talent Books at the Taishan Mansion Domain on Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays. The Taishan Mansion can be found in the Minlin region of Liyue. Shenhe’s Weekly Boss is La Signora in Genshin Impact 2.4, and she will need 6 Hellfire Butterflies to reach level 10 on all of her Talents. Lastly, players will need to gather an additional 18 Whopperflower Nectar, 66 Shimmering Nectar, 93 Energy Nectar, 3 Crowns of Insight, and 4,957,500 Mora.

Genshin Impact 2.4: Yun Jin’s Character & Talent Ascension Materials

Yun Jin was revealed to be a Geo character, so she will require the Prithiva Topaz materials. Genshin Impact 2.4 players will need to either find or craft 1 Prithiva Topaz Sliver, 9 Prithiva Topaz Fragments, 9 Prithiva Topax Chunks, and 6 Prithiva Topaz Gemstones. These items can be found in various region shops and are dropped by the Geo Hypostasis and the Primo Geovishap, both of which are found in Liyue, and by the Golden Wolflord found on Tsurumi Island.

Like her fellow Geo user Ningguang, Yun Jin will need 168 Glaze Lillies that can be found around Liyue, particularly in Liyue Harbor and Qingce Village. Yukon’s boss is the Golden Wolflord, and she will need 46 Riftborn Regalia. Next, Yunjin needs 18 Broken Masks, 30 Stained Masks, and 30 Ominous Masks, all of which are dropped by Hilichurls. Lastly, in order to ascend Yun Jin to level 90, players will need 420,000 Mora.

Yun Jin uses the Diligence Books for her Talents, which can also be found in Genshin Impact’s Taishan Mansion on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Players will need to accumulate 9 Teachings of Diligence, 63 Guides to Diligence, and 114 Philosophies of Diligence. Yun Jin’s Weekly Boss is also allegedly La Signora, but Yun Jin uses the Ashen Hearts. Lastly, Yun Jin needs an additional 18 Broken Masks, 66 Stained Masks, 93 Ominous Masks, 3 Crowns of Insight, and 4,957,500 Mora to triple crown all of her Talents for Genshin Impact 2.4.
