Genshin Impact 2.4: How Long Ningguang’s Evening Gown Outfit Is Free

The upcoming Genshin Impact 2.4 update will add in the new Enkanomiya Island, quests, and events. One of the more exciting aspects of the new patch is that some characters will be getting new outfits. Ningguang will have the Orchid’s Evening Gown, which is available for free in Genshin Impact for a limited time. So, just how long will players have to get Ningguang’s new outfit for free before it’ll cost them Genesis Crystals instead?

The new Orchid’s Evening Gown outfit for Ningguang can be gotten for free thanks to the upcoming “Fleeting Colors in Flight” event in Genshin Impact Version 2.4. Keqing will also be getting a new outfit in this update, which players can purchase during the event. New alternative outfits for characters have been a popular, but rare, occurrence in Genshin Impact thus far, but even free-to-play users can get Ningguang’s evening gown if they put in the work before time is up.

This isn’t the first time miHoYo has dropped in a free outfit for a limited time. Genshin Impact 1.6 allowed players to get Barbara’s Summertime Sparkle outfit for free by participating in the Echoing Tales event. Once the event was over, though, players had to purchase the outfit if they wanted it, so it was a great incentive to enjoy the new event and try for a somewhat unique reward. Now, history is repeating itself for Genshin Impact 2.4 as Ningguang’s Orchid’s Evening Gown will be acquired in a similar way.

Genshin Impact: Ninggung’s Free Outfit & Fleeting Colors In Flight Event

Genshin Impact Version 2.4 is set to go live on January 5, 2022, and the “Fleeting Colors in Flight” event should launch around the same time since it’s a part of the new year’s Lantern Rite Festival. According to miHoYo, Ningguang’s Orchid’s Evening Gown is only available for free until the end of Version 2.4 and then it “will be available for purchase in the Character Outfit Shop for 1,680 Genesis Crystals.” Keeping with miHoYo’s usual six-week release schedule for the game, this means Ningguang’s new outfit will be free in Genshin Impact until around February 16, 2022.

The Orchid’s Evening Gown for Ningguang is formal wear, with a dark blue dress and butterfly motifs. Understandably, a lot of fans will want to get this alternate costume for her. Thankfully, players will have a good bit of time to get Ningguang’s new outfit for free in Genshin Impact 2.4. Otherwise, it will cost them real money and Genesis Crystals in the Character Outfit Shop.
