Today, miHoYo deployed an in-game survey for Genshin Impact that asks players to rate the roster of characters as well as their aesthetic designs. The development crew at miHoYo is no stranger to soliciting fan feedback, previously launching Genshin Impact surveys to gather general opinions on the experience or ask specifications questions about art and game systems. A December 2020 survey even awarded participants with free in-game currency (Mora).

The latest questionnaire comes on the heels of Genshin Impact Version 1.5, a new update that went live late last month. This particular patch notably brought with it a free PlayStation 5 upgrade, complete with native 4K resolution support, faster loading times, enhanced textures, and a reworked version of the Qingyun Peak location. Version 1.5 also unleashed new characters – Eula and Yanfei – the domain of Ridge Watch, the Song of Broken Pines weapon, and Hangout Events for Diona and Noelle.

According to Siliconera, Genshin Impact players can now take part in the new “Game Character Aesthetic Preferences Survey” by visiting their in-game Mailbox. As the name suggests, this questionnaire asks users a wide range of questions regarding the free-to-play title’s roster of characters. One query tells players to choose what they emphasize when building a character of their own. Another invites them to rate certain characters based on their design, with the options spanning from “I strongly dislike the character” to “I like the character a lot.” Better still, all who take part in the survey will gain a bonus of 30,000 free Mora.

Genshin Impact’s roster currently boast more than two dozen unique characters. And a recent set of leaks indicate several more playable heroes are on the horizon. The leaks in question come courtesy of the Genshin Impact 1.6 beta; apparently, developer miHoYo plans on introducing Kazuha, Ayaka, and Yoimiya in a future update.

Interestingly, the beta leaks have let the cat out of the bag about a panoply of other potential content drops, as well. There’s now reason to believe that Version 1.6 will introduce the previously teased Inazuma region, for example. The prematurely released information additionally hints that a brand-new element, Dendro, is set to soon enter the mix. As of writing, though, miHoYo has yet to reveal when exactly the next major patch will go live.

Genshin Impact is available as a free-to-play title for PC, PS4, PS5, Android, and iOS.
