Genshin Impact: How to Find Weapon Ascension Materials

The three most important stats in Genshin Impact are the Adventure Rank, Character Level, and Weapon Level. In order to get better and stronger at the game players will need to ensure that they are constantly leveling these three stats up. Adventure Rank increases as players complete missions, but character and weapon levels can only be increased by using specific items. Even if a character is a high level though, they will be essentially useless with a weak weapon.

This is why it is very important to be constantly leveling up a character’s weapon. The issue here though is that once a weapon hits level 20 it cannot be leveled up anymore. In order to continue growing stronger players will need to acquire weapon ascension materials to allow players to continue leveling up their weapons. This guide will show players how to acquire weapon ascension materials.

Genshin Impact: How to Get Weapon Ascension Materials

At this time there are only two ways to acquire weapon ascension materials, which is tough because these are some of the hardest materials to acquire in the game. Unlike character ascension materials players are not able to acquire them by just killing enemies out in the world. Instead, they must either complete Domains of Forgery or pick them up at the Souvenir Shops.

The Domains of Forgery are the typical way that players will be able to acquire these materials and there are currently only two such locations in the game. The first one is in Moonstadt and is called Cecilia Gardens. Players will need to complete a questline in order to unlock this Domain, but once they have they can farm the location to acquire the materials needed. The other Domain of Forgery can be found in Liyue and is called the Hidden Palace of Zhou Formula. This place will give players access to a different set of materials than Cecilia Gardens, so it is a good idea for players to check both locations every day.

If players aren’t able to acquire these materials from completing the Domains of Forgery, they can always hit up the two Souvenir Shops. If players go to the one in Moonstadt they can trade in Anemo Sigils, whereas the one in Liyue accepts Geo Sigils. Players can use these sigils to purchase whatever materials they might need, but it must be remembered that these items never reset and players can only purchase a certain amount.
