Primogems are probably the most coveted reward in Genshin Impact, as they’re necessary for buying the wishes that allow players to unlock new characters and weapons. For players who want certain weapons and characters, or who are hoping to pull one of the upcoming Inazuma characters like Baal or Kokomi, a stock of Primogems is important.

For players who aren’t looking to spend real-world money to buy Primogems, getting more quickly might seem difficult. However, there are plenty of ways to earn large amounts of Primogems without spending money, especially with all the new content in the Genshin Impact Inazuma 2.0 update. Here are some of those methods.

How to Get More Primogems in Genshin Impact’s 2.0 Update

The easiest and most well-known way to earn Primogems is to do Daily Commissions. Players are given 4 randomized quests known as Daily Commissions. Daily Commissions reset each day, and each completed commission grants 10 Primogems. After completing all 4 commissions, players should speak to Katheryne in Inazuma and select ‘Claim Daily Commission Rewards’. Doing this will grant an additional 20 Primogems, and various other rewards players can get every day.

While Daily Commissions are the easiest way to earn Primogems in Genshin Impact, there are faster ways to earn larger quantities of Primos. One of these ways is the Spiral Abyss. The Spiral Abyss has 12 floors, each separated by 3 Chambers. Players can earn up to 3 Stars per Chamber depending on how fast they complete it. Earning 3 total Stars on a floor grants 50 Primogems. This means earning 6 total Stars grants 100 Primogems, and getting a perfect score of 9 Stars grants 150.

The first 8 Spiral Abyss floors can only be completed once, however Floors 9-12 reset every week. This means players with strong teams have the opportunity to earn up to 600 Primogems every 2 weeks. The final few floors of the Spiral Abyss can be incredibly difficult though, so players should work on making their teams as strong as possible to improve their times.

Genshin Impact is constantly running new events, which often provide Primogems as Event Rewards. Participating in these events every day often either grants players Primogems directly, or allows them to earn Event currency that can be exchanged in the Event Store for Primogems, among other rewards. Currently, the Lost Riches Event is running, and is a great way to earn some extra Primogems fast.

Another way to earn Primogems in Genshin Impact is through the Mihoyo Daily Check-In. Through the Hoyolab website, Mihoyo’s official social media site for Genshin Impact, players can access a ‘Check-In’ tab by hovering over their profile picture on the home tab. By checking in every day, players can earn various rewards, including 20 Primogems a week.

Finally, the new Inazuma region is a fantastic way for players to earn Primogems through exploration and gameplay. Primogems are given for completing quests, and the new region has come with a plethora of main and side-quests for players to enjoy. Additionally, unlocking Teleportation Waypoints, opening chests, and completing one-time Domains can allow players to earn hundreds of Primogems as they play.

There are dozens of ways for free-to-play players to earn enough Primogems to wish for their favorite characters. For players who are willing to spend a little bit of money, the ‘Blessing of the Welkin Moon’ in the game store grants players 90 Primogems daily for a month, for $4.99. However, as long as players are playing the game frequently, Genshin Impact‘s Primogems are easy to come by as long as they’re looking in the right places.
