Helping the lost spirit of the NPC Ipe cross over to the afterlife is one of the quests available on Tsurumi Island in Genshin Impact. Tsurumi Island is a new area of Inazuma introduced in the Genshin Impact Version 2.2 update, and the island is filled with lost souls players can help move on to the afterlife, as long as they complete a task for them.

Ipe is one of the spirits on Tsurumi Island that players can encounter following the completion of the “Through the Mists” world quest. To help him get ready to cross over, players will need to find his Makiri Charm while fishing. Once he crosses over, they will receive a reward including Primogems, Mora, and Hero’s Wits.

To find Ipe on Tsurumi Island in Genshin Impact, players must go to the fishing spot on the east side of Chirai Shrine, directly in front of the Teleport Waypoint. To summon Ipe, players must catch any fish at this location. Upon appearing, Ipe will ask the player to find the Makiri Charm that he lost. He’ll direct the player toward a fishing spot on the small island southwest of Autake Plains. The fishing spot on this island can be found south of the hut, and players may need to clear out a few enemies before they can start fishing.

Once players reach the small island to search for Ipe’s Makiri Charm in Genshin Impact, they will have to unlock the fishing spot. This can be done by using Genshin Impact’s Peculiar Pinion on the Thunderbird Statue next to the dock. Once the fishing spot appears, players will need to fish to reel in the bag with the Makiri Charm. This is mostly up to luck, so players may have to catch a few fish before they finally get the Charm.

After obtaining the Charm, players need to report back to Ipe in the same location he was before. Doing so will allow his spirit to cross over, and the player will be rewarded with a Precious Chest, 30 Primogems, 20,000 Mora, and two Hero’s Wits.

Ipe is just one of several spirits players can help on Tsurumi Island, and his quest is one of the simpler ones. Players should make sure they’re finding and helping other spirits, including Kito and Kina, cross over to receive rewards and learn more about the deep lore of the new Genshin Impact location.
