Many of the new Genshin Impact special events have been focused on challenging players with difficult fights, and seeing how much damage players can deal in a limited amount of time. The Never-Ending Battle Event is no exception– testing player’s team compositions to see how much damage they can do.

In the Never-Ending Battle Event, players have to defeat as many enemies as possible within the time limit. Here’s how to play the event, what rewards are available, and how to get the highest score possible. By opening the Events Overview tab, players will be able to navigate to the different challenge sites. There are seven total challenges players can try their hands at, all located within the Golden Apple Archipelago (available exclusively during the 1.6 update). Challenge locations will be marked with a special symbol on the map.

How to Play the Never-Ending Battle Event in Genshin Impact

In this event, players will have 3 minutes and 30 seconds to defeat as many enemies as possible to accumulate points. Each challenge location has different enemies and different special mechanics that influence what characters will deal the most damage. In addition, each challenge has three different difficult levels players can use. The Normal level will multiply the player’s final score by 1, the Hard level will multiply it by 2, and the Expert level will multiply it by 3.

In addition, each challenge will have a Momentum meter at the top. This meter can be increased by hitting Momentum Discs that will descend upon the arena with Wind-Blessed Harpastums, or by destroying Berserker Enemies (who will be marked with a red symbol above their head). Increasing Momentum will give players various buffs, depending on the challenge.

Players will get points based on how many enemies they kill within the time period. Attaining a score of at least 500 will grant players 60 Primogems. A score of over 1000 will earn 2 Talent Guide Books and 30000 Mora, and a score of above 2000 will give players 3 Hero’s Wit and an additional 30000 Mora.

For this challenge, enemies will spawn spread around the area, so characters who have good crowd control are incredibly useful in letting the player kill as many as possible as fast as possible. This makes characters like Venti, Sucrose, and Kazuha perfect for this event. Additionally, the various challenge buffs (such as an attack increase for shielded characters) makes certain characters better depending on the special mechanics.

Every day of the event a new challenge is unlocked, meaning players have several opportunities to earn all three reward tiers for each challenge. This will likely be the final event available in the Golden Apple Archipelago, so players should enjoy it to the fullest until it goes away.

Genshin Impact is available now on PC, Mobile, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4.
