There are many challenging Achievements in Genshin Impact, and one of the hardest tests is the Oowazamono Achievement. An intriguing aspect of the Oowazamono is that it’s a hidden Achievement that doesn’t appear on any regular lists. It’s a challenge that is not for the faint of heart, as even the most die-hard completionists can have some trouble getting it.

The Oowazamono in Genshin Impact is a combat achievement that has players facing Masanori, the samurai from Inazuma. After completing the “Dreams Of Sword Art” quest, Masanori invites the player to have a friendly challenge. Between the hours of 12 a.m. and 4 a.m., he is more potent, but players don’t have to challenge him during this period to get the Achievement. Also, players can bring in a friend to fight him cooperatively, allowing the Achievement to unlock for both players.

A big part of winning the fight against Masanori in Genshin Impact is using as many buffs as possible before the battle. It’s important to remember to cook and eat food that will give an attack buff or CRIT buff. Some options are Delicious Cured Pork Dry Hotpot, which increases CRIT rate by 20% for 300 seconds, or Delicious Golden Fried Chicken, which gives both an ATK and CRIT boost of 320 and 10%, respectively. Potions are very valuable as well. If a player has a specific elemental attack, a boost of the elemental damage is extremely valuable during this fight. An excellent potion for boosting elemental DMG is the Frosting Essential Oil, which increases Cryo DMG by 25% for 300 seconds.

How To Beat Masanori In Genshin Impact

After talking to Masanori following the “Dreams of Sword Art” quest, the samurai asks to have a sparring match. After accepting, players have 120 seconds to defeat Masanori. There is a catch to getting the Oowazamono Achievement, though. Players have 120 seconds to beat Masanori, but to unlock the Achievement, they must instead do so within 30 seconds. Because of how fast players have to down him, The fight is in and of itself a DPS check. It will be split into two phases.

In the first phase, players have to burst down Masanori as fast as possible, which is where all the pre-buffing comes in handy. After the first phase, Masanori will have a health bar refill, which starts phase two. In the second phase, the Noblesse Oblige would be valuable to grant some extra elemental burst attack power.

In phase two, Masanori will also put Electro on his blade, making him more formidable. Players will want to keep the pressure on and think offense only, as any deviation could cost the fight and the Achievement.

After beating Masanori in the allotted time, players should speak with him again, and he will be impressed with their skill. He states that he is always open to having another match. If players beat him within the 30-second time frame, they will receive the Oowazamono Achievement. If not, they have the option to try again. To see the Oowazamono Achievement, players can go to the Wonders Of The World Achievement sub-menu. Players can also claim five Primogems upon completion of the Achievement.
