Genshin Impact: Should You Pull On The New 2.5 Weapons Banner

During the second half of the Genshin Impact‘s Version 2.5 update, players will have the chance to pull for the Engulfing Lightning and the Everlasting Moonglow. Both 5-star weapons were previously released separately during the Version 2.1 update. The re-release will now feature both weapons within the same banner allowing gamers an opportunity to obtain the desired equipment, which is helpful for anyone who may want to upgrade the item’s Refinement levels or who missed the weapon’s initial release.

With the Epitomized Path Weapons System in Genshin Impact, players can select one of the 5-star weapons and will receive the chosen item when triggering the pity mechanics. Despite the weapons pity system not being free-to-play friendly, the Epitomized Path can help gamers obtain the desired weapon. Aside from the Engulfing Lightning and Everlasting Moonglow having a higher pull rate percentage, other 4-star weapons will also be featured as promotional items.

Along with the two 5-star weapons, the Favonius Lance, Sacrificial Fragments, Akuoumaru, Lion’s Roar, and the Mouun’s Moon will be part of the weapons Banner. Unlike Engulfing Lightning and Everlasting Moonglow, most of the 4-star weapons featured aren’t limited and can be obtained on the Standard Banner in Genshin Impact. It’s most ideal for players to pull on the weapons Banner if the desired equipment is a 5-star as players only have a 20% chance of obtaining a specific 4-star weapon even with the pity system. Essentially, gamers can use all resources and not obtain the wanted item.

Genshin Impact: Engulfing Lightning Versus Everlasting Moonglow

The Engulfing Lightning is a polearm weapon that synergizes well with characters who focus on Energy Recharge. The secondary stat the item offers increases Energy Recharge up to 55.1% and will further boost the users ATK by 28% based on the character’s Energy Recharge stats that is over the base of 100%. The user will also gain an additional 30% Recharge stats after using an Elemental Burst making the Engulfing Lightning the perfect weapon for Burst-focused polearm users in Genshin Impact like Raiden Shogun, Xiangling, and Rosaria.

The Everlasting Moonglow is a catalyst that is primarily used by healers. The secondary stat increases HP up to 49.6% and will further increase Healing Bonus by 10%. An additional 1% ATK damage bonus based on the character’s Max HP will be given. The weapon will also restore 0.6 energy when the user’s normal attacks hit enemies after using an Elemental Burst. There aren’t many characters that will benefit from Everlasting Moonglow’s effects aside from Kokomi, making it one of the more limiting weapons in Genshin Impact.

When comparing the two 5-stars, the Engulfing Lightning is universally better than the Everlasting Moonglow. Very few catalyst users in Genshin Impact can use the weapon – unlike the Engulfing Lightning, which can greatly help many polearm characters. If players are committed to strengthening Kokomi, the Everlasting Moonglow will be an excellent weapon for her, but if gamers are looking for a weapon that can be shared among different allies, then the Engulfing Lightning is highly recommended instead.
