In the weeks leading up to Version 1.4 of Genshin Impact, character leaks and rumors have reached a fever pitch. Now, thanks to the latest Special Program livestream from developer miHoYo, fans know which playable characters to expect in the game – and which ones will become Banners. Here’s everything to know about the characters in Genshin Impact‘s 1.4 update.

Multiple characters have been leaked or rumored for Version 1.4 already, including the long-awaited Ayaka and Rosaria. Hu Tao was rumored for the new content, until she was surprisingly announced as a Banner character to finish out Genshin Impact‘s current version. With Version 1.4 of the game set to release soon, the Special Program was a great way for fans to see which characters will be added to the game next.

Perhaps surprisingly, there will be Banner reruns of two of Genshin Impact‘s most popular characters. Both Venti and Tartaglia will be included as Banners again during Version 1.4. This is pretty exciting because Tartaglia and Venti are beloved characters in Genshin Impact, so fans who missed out on acquiring them last year will have a chance to pull them again during the new update with slightly higher pull rates.

All New Characters Confirmed For Genshin Impact 1.4

Venti and Tartaglia are nice, of course, but a lot of the attention is on which new characters will be added to Genshin Impact in the 1.4 update. After a long wait, Dainsleif will be joining the game – at least, in the story – meaning fans will finally be able to interact with him. Joining the roster as a new playable character is Rosaria.

Rosaria was rumored for Version 1.4 for weeks now, and she’s finally been officially confirmed. Rosaria will be a 4-star Banner for the new update. As a nun for Barbatos, she already has important ties to characters like Barbara and Venti, so it’s great that players will finally get to recruit her for their teams. As with most new Banner characters, Rosaria can be obtained through Genshin Impact‘s gacha-pull Wish system, so players will need a bit of luck (and plenty of Primogems) if they want to get her.

Overall, the Version 1.4 update – which is titled “Invitation of Windblume” – looks pretty interesting. With new events and a celebration in Mondstadt, as well as new story content, there’s a lot for players to do. The Venti and Tartaglia re-runs are also pretty nice, and fans have been waiting for Rosaria to be added to Genshin Impactfor a long time, so it’s great that these playable characters will be Banners in the Version 1.4 content.
