Genshin Impact: Zhongli Constellations Guide

Zhongli has just had his third re-run in Genshin Impact, and understanding his Constellations is crucial for players looking to build him. For players who have already pulled Zhongli and pulled for Constellations on his last re-run, or for those lucky enough to pull multiple copies of him in Version 2.4, knowing how Zhongli’s Constellations work will help players what benefits they’re getting with each Constellation and how they change his gameplay.

Players can view a character’s Constellations from their character profile. However, what these Constellations actually do can be confusing without a clearer explanation. Additionally, how a character is built and what roles they play can change depending on how many Constellations they have. Here’s a guide on all Constellations for Zhongli’s build in Genshin Impact and what they actually do.

Players can obtain a Constellation for a character by obtaining them more than one time. Each character has a total of six Constellations, which means players need seven copies of a character to complete all their Constellations. Once a Constellation is obtained, players simply need to open the given character’s profile and go to the Constellation tab.

The Best Zhongli Constellations in Genshin Impact

Here are all of Zhongli’s Constellations and how they work:

• Constellation Level 1 – Rock, the Backbone of Earth: Increases the maximum number of Stone Steles created by Dominus Lapidis that may exist simultaneously to 2. This is especially beneficial as it allows Zhongli to use his Elemental Skill to place two at the same time rather than one.
• Constellation Level 2 – Stone, the Cradle of Jade: Planet Befall grants nearby characters on the field a ‘Jade Shield’ when it descends. In addition, it makes Zhongli’s Elemental Burst shield players on the field, increasing his strength as a Support unit for the rest of the party.
• Constellation Level 3 – Jade, Shimmering through Darkness: Increases the Level of Dominus Lapidis by 3. The maximum upgrade level is 15. Increasing the max level of Zhongli’s Elemental Skill increases the Geo DMG of the pillars and the DMG absorption done by his shields.
• Constellation Level 4 – Topaz, Unbreakable and Fearless: Increases Planet Befall’s AoE by 20% and increases the duration of Planet Befall’s Petrification effect by 2s. Allows Zhongli’s Elemental Burst to hit more enemies at once and increases the enemy freezing effect by 2 seconds.
• Constellation Level 5 – Lazuli, Herald of the Order: Increase the Level of Planet Befall by 3. The maximum upgrade level is 15. In addition, it increases the max level of Zhongli’s Elemental Burst, significantly increasing its damage capabilities.
• Constellation Level 6 – Chrysos, Bounty of Dominator: When the Jade Shield takes DMG, 40% of that incoming DMG is converted to HP for the current character. A single instance of regeneration cannot exceed 8% of that character’s Max HP. Allows characters protected by Zhongli’s shield to be healed as well when attacked, allowing Zhongli to serve as both a Sub-DPS and Support unit.
