Genshin Impact’s Barbara Hangout Event: All Endings & Choices Explained

Version 1.4 of Genshin Impact has officially released, which means fans are getting to discover everything the new update has to offer. One of the most exciting new features is the Hangout Events series, which lets players spend time with characters like Barbara, Noelle, Chongyun, and Bennett. Each event has multiple endings that depend on player choices. Here’s everything to know about Barbara’s Hangout Event endings and choices in Genshin Impact‘s new update.

Hangout Events can be unlocked with two Story Keys, which can be obtained by doing daily commissions. After unlocking the Hangout Events for Barbara in Genshin Impact, players will get rewards for completing different endings, also known as Hangout Memories. There are a total of five endings known for Barbara at this time, and some are a little harder to unlock than others.

Despite developer miHoYo saying it isn’t romantic, the Hangout Events in Genshin Impact feel a lot like a dating sim. Several of Barbara’s endings rely on the Hearts meter, so it’s more than just a few dialogue choices like with Bennett’s. “A Holiday In Mondstadt” requires a number of dialogue choices to be made, as well as agreeing to speak with Sister Victoria, selecting the Cat’s Tail Drink, and then talking to Barbara’s Fan Club. For this part, players will need to select choices that don’t lose hearts in order to get this ending.

Genshin Impact: Barbara’s Hangout Endings & Choice Options

The “Untimely Enthusiasm” ending in Barbara’s Genshin Impact Hangout Event is a bit easier to get and involves following Albert, a member of Barbara’s Fan Club, into Wolvendom. When prompted, players will need to select “Barbara isn’t here anymore, you’d better head back to the city,” then “There might be other areas where Wolfhooks grow,” and lastly “I’ve been here clearing the area of monsters all day” to get this ending.

The next two endings for Barbara in Genshin Impact, “The Taste of Hard Work” and “A Fiery Flavor From Liyue,” both involve Chilibrew and occur after the previous endings. After choosing to go separate ways, the quests maintain similar paths until players have a choice to select “Well, we were looking for Sweet Flowers...”, “I’d like to try that Liyuen Chilibrew…“, or “Let’s go with Mora.” Selecting the Chilibrew option will give players the “A Fiery Flavor From Liyue” ending, while the Sweet Flower option will give “The Taste of Hard Work” ending. If players choose not to go separate ways when looking for Chilibrew, then they can fight hilichurls and select the “Hold on, Barbara. He’s a suspicious character” dialogue option for the fifth ending, “Incompletely Cured.”

It’s really up to players to decide which of Barbara’s endings they’d like to try for, although completing all of them will give additional rewards. Overall, the Hangout Events series is a great way for fans to spend time with Genshin Impact characters they love.
