Genshin Impact’s Chongyun Hangout Event: All Endings & Choices Explained

The new 1.4 update of Genshin Impacthas new story quests, weapons, and Banners – as well as new events like the Hangout Events series. This series allows players to go on excursions with characters like Chongyun, Bennett, Noelle, and Barbara, and each character’s Hangout has multiple endings based on players’ choice paths and dialogue options. Here’s everything to know about Chongyun’s Hangout Event endings and choices in Genshin Impact.

The Hangout Events series in Genshin Impact offers players a variety of ways to spend time with some of their favorite characters. Chongyun has six known endings, and reaching each ending depends on a variety of factors. Additionally, some endings are much easier to get than others.

The “Blessings In Disguise,” “Idle Amusements,” and “Can’t Beat This Heat” endings all require players to choose “They all sound pretty farfetched. Maybe I should just tell him that” at the start. For “Blessings In Disguise” players will have to get Chongyun to offer up one of his popsicles when prompted and answer his Demon Questions correctly, followed by choosing to rest. For the “Idle Amusement” ending, Chongyun will need to give up both popsicles and then play hide and seek with children in town. For “Can’t Beat This Heat,” players will need Chongyun to give up both his popsicles and then choose to try some Jueyen Chilis and Slime Condensates.

Genshin Impact 1.4: Chongyun Hangout Endings & Choice Paths

The other three Hangout Event endings for Chongyun in Genshin Impact require players to choose “Although they all seem farfetched, I’d better not tell him that. He seems like quite the persistent character” at the beginning. To get the “Nothing Gained” ending, players will need to choose for both characters to drink, and then select the “Sure, just have a rest. I’ll continue investigating on my own” option.

To get the “Goodbyes” ending, players can choose either drinking option, then choose “Remember that strange mist we found earlier? I would like to investigate that further” when they get the prompt. To get the “Small Regrets” ending here, instead of investigating further players can just choose “Right, let’s head back” for a slightly more anticlimactic ending.

The new Version 1.4 update of Genshin Impact adds a lot of great content to the game, and the Hangout Events series is definitely a highlight. Ultimately, it’s up to players to decide which Chongyun ending they’d like to see, although they can also choose to replay through Chongyun’s story for the other endings and additional rewards. It’s a great way to spend some more time with Chongyun in Genshin Impact.
