Genshin Impact’s New Archon Quest & Rewards Explained

While the current Version 1.4 of Genshin Impacthas added in a lot of events and a new playable character named Rosaria, it’s also advancing the open-world RPG’s main story a bit more. The latest Archon Quest, Act IV, is available in most regions now, giving fans the chance to see some new story content. Here’s everything to know about the latest Archon Quest and its rewards.

As a free-to-play gacha game, Genshin Impact is always adding in more for players to do. New playable characters are a great incentive to keep people coming back, but in-between those times, developer miHoYo usually keeps content fresh by adding in different events. The Hangout Events in 1.4 let players spend more time with some of their favorite characters, and the Wishful Drops event currently underway is another opportunity to get Primogems and other rare rewards.

Now, some new story content is finally available in the game as well. Story quests in Genshin Impact are divided up into many separate categories, usually focusing on one aspect of the game’s world and lore. The new Archon Quest, Act IV will conclude the Archon questline from Chapter 1 and involves popular characters like Ganyu and Dainslief. As usual for Genshin Impact, completing this quest will give players a number of great rewards for their efforts.

Genshin Impact’s Archon Quest, Act IV Rewards Explained

In order to start the newest Archon Quest, players will need to be at Adventure Rank 36 and have completed a couple of prerequisite story quests: “Lupus Minor Chapter: Act I – The Meaning of Lupica” and “Chapter I: Act IV (Prelude) – Bough Keeper: Dainsleif.” Meeting these requirements should activate the “We Will Be Reunited” quest to start players on their latest Archon-related adventure.

The quest will include a fight with the Abyss Herald, so players will need to come prepared if they want to finish this story content and reap the rewards. The rewards that are up for grabs include XP, 60 Primogems, Hero’s Wit, Mystic Enhancement Ore, and over 100,000 Mora. Players can also earn Guides to Freedom, Resistance, and Ballad.

This should conclude the Archon Quest portion of the main story for Chapter 1, meaning more Archon Quests won’t be available until Chapter 2 arrives. With Version 1.5 on the horizon, this means the long-awaited second chapter of Genshin Impact is likely at least three months away – and possibly even longer, assuming more version of Chapter 1 are releasing. For players invested in the RPG’s storyline, the new Archon Quest adds a bit more depth and lore to the game’s ever-expanding narrative.
