Ghost of Tsushima Legends pairs players in PvE engagements as they play through different short stories. They can also work together to fend off waves of corrupt Mongols in survival mode. There are dozens of different cosmetic items that players can unlock by playing the game and unique legendary items that will make their preferred character even stronger. Sucker Punch recently released a line of new cosmetic items inspired by past games. This guide will show players how to unlock the God of War outfit in Ghost of Tsushima Legends.

Ghost of Tsushima Legends – God of War Outfit for Samurai

The Samurai were the true Gods of war in Feudal Japan. It’s not at all surprising that Sucker Punch chose the Samurai class to bestow this outfit upon. Other games that are paid homage are Bloodborne, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Shadow of Colossus. To unlock the God of War outfit, all players must do is complete one story mission or survival mission while playing as the Samurai.

That’s it, no overly complicated questline, no nearly impossible list of challenges to complete. Sucker Punch built Legends mode to be fun and accessible to all players. While there is a significant curve between average Legends players and the top seeds in the weekly leaderboards, the multiplayer experience is easy to grasp. The most important aspect of Legends is its lack of microtransactions. Players will have to earn the items they want to use.

Why did Ghost of Tsushima choose God of War?

God of War has found its way into several different crossover video games. Most recently, players were able to unlock the Kratos skin in Fortnite along with The Mandalorian. Kratos has also made appearances in the Mortal Kombat franchise. So why did Ghost of Tsushima decide God of War, along with the other three, was one to pay homage to? Perhaps it has to do with the recent Game Awards and Ghost of Tsushima’s stellar performance. God of War has a trophy shelf full of awards between Game of the Year (2018) and Best Action/Adventure (2018). While Ghost of Tsushima only brought home one win, it was still in the running for most other categories, falling short to The Last of Us 2.

No matter the reason, fans love seeing crossovers in video games. Hopefully, Sucker Punch will be releasing future content for Ghost of Tsushima Legends.
