Gilmore Girls is the mother/daughter show of the 2000s that everyone loved, and with seven seasons, there was no shortage of drama, laughter, and of course that famous Gilmore wit. Rory and Lorelai appeared on screen for over 150 episodes, and fans loved them all.

Each Gilmore episode has been given a rating by fans on IMDb, and all have scored above seven out of ten! Still, even with a highly rated show, there are episodes that end up being the worst of the best. Here are the episodes that received the lowest score in each season of Gilmore Girls.

9 Season 1: Episode 11 Paris Is Burning – 7.8

It’s parent-teacher night at Chilton, and Lorelai shows up like the involved parent that she is. She and Rory’s teacher Max get a little caught up when they think they’re alone, and Paris ends up seeing them kissing.

Wanting to start trouble for Rory and distract from the gossip about her own familial drama, Paris spreads news of the kissing to the rest of the school. Lorelai and Max end up separating after Lorelai worries what their relationship is doing to Rory.

8 Season 2: Episode 11 Secrets And Loans – 7.8

Termites have completely taken over the Gilmore house, and according to Kirk, the building could come down at any second! Repairs mean money, and money means that Lorelai has to try and get a loan from the bank. Too bad they won’t even consider giving her one.

Even though Lorelai tells her not to, Rory goes to Emily with their problem. Lorelai refuses the check Emily offers, but she reluctantly accepts a meeting her mother sets up for her at the bank.

6 Season 3: Episode 12 Lorelai Out Of Water – 7.7

Also with the lowest score in season three is this episode, in which Lorelai plans a fishing trip with Alex. While Lorelai would much rather take a trip to the mall, she agrees to go fishing, telling Alex that she loves it.

In actuality, Lorelai knows nothing about fishing, but she’ll take any excuse to buy a new outfit! Thankfully, Luke is a fine fisherman, and he comes over with a kiddie pool, some fish, and two poles to teach Lorelai how to fish.

5 Season 4: Episode 8 Die, Jerk – 7.8

Rory gets assigned to cover a ballet production for the school paper, but when the show is not so enjoyable, she gives it a poor review with some colorful and negative descriptions. She particularly makes mention of a heavier dancer, commenting not only about her bad performance but also her weight.

Said dancer finds Rory’s dorm and writes, “Die jerk,” on the door! She also goes up to Rory in the cafeteria and tells her off in front of everyone, informing her that the ballet was shut down early because of Rory’s review.

4 Season 5: Episode 20 How Many Kropogs To Cape Cod? – 7.7

After hearing that Logan’s parents had Rory over for (a less than pleasant) dinner, Emily and Richard panic that they haven’t done the polite thing and invited Logan over for dinner with them. 3 Season 6: Episode 4 Always A Godmother, Never A God – 7.5

Rory has been avoiding Lorelai, and when Lorelai tries to call her, she gets a message that the phone number is no longer in service. Looks like they won’t be talking anytime soon, but Sookie hopes to change that.

Her children are getting baptized, and she wants Lorelai and Rory to be the godparents. Both ladies show up, but a fight ensues when Lorelai comes to the realization that Rory gave her new number to Sookie but not her own mother.

2 Season 7: Episode 6 Go Bulldogs! – 7.3

Two episodes came in last in season seven. Parents weekend is here at Yale, and Christopher and Lorelai decide to go. It turns out that Richard and Emily are also there, but they manage to get out of spending time with the grandparents by attending a parents lecture on the campus.

Later, Rory introduces her parents to the staff at the paper, and Chris decides to invite them all to an expensive lunch. However, the meal is cut short when breaking news happens back at Yale, and the writers all have to leave to cover it.
