Hacksilver is the main currency in God of War, and Kratos needs to get more of it constantly to upgrade both his and Atreus’ gear. Whenever players find themselves with enough Hacksilver, they can visit either Brok or Sindri to either purchase new weapon and armor parts or upgrade the ones they currently have. Different armor and weapon parts have their own benefits that help increase Kratos and Atreus’ overall level, so the best armor in God of War really depends on what a player prefers to focus on.

Players can find both Sindri and Brok throughout God of War in many places after the first encounter with Brok. The dwarves seemingly teleport to whatever realm Atreus and Kratos are in, allowing the God of War and his son to use their services frequently. In fact, sometimes either dwarf appears soon after the last encounter, so it’s important to always be prepared with as much Hacksilver as possible. One way that players can increase the amount of Hacksilver they find passively is by improving the Luck stat on Kratos’ armor.

Hacksilver can be most commonly found by exploring every corner of God of War’s terrain and by smashing everything breakable. Typically, if Atreus is trying to lead Kratos down a particular path that has multiple options present, it is a good idea to venture down the other paths in search of additional Hacksilver. Kratos can usually smash everything in God of War with the Leviathan Axe, but, occasionally, he’ll have to use the axe to freeze some mechanism and explore the side areas without it.

Other Ways To Get More Hacksilver In God Of War

Throughout each chapter, players can find and pick up multiple God of War artifacts in every realm that can be safely sold to Brok and Sindri for more Hacksilver. Additionally, players can also find Hacksilver in wooden chests throughout God of War, or by cutting down objects hanging from the ceiling. There are also instances in which Hacksilver will be available in the open world, giving off a faint yellow glow, similar to the health items that Kratos can pick up. Hacksilver can also be obtained when players sell their unwanted equipment and pick up the items that certain enemies drop after they are defeated.

Atreus can also find Hacksilver as he and Kratos sail across the Lake of Nine throughout God of War’s story. Players should make sure to stop by the highlighted spots on the Lake of Nine, and Atreus will be able to pull up some Hacksilver from these locations. Lastly, there are multiple treasure map side objectives throughout God of War that will lead Kratos and Atreus to more HacksilverThere are twelve maps in total that players can come across, and they are:
