Godmothered Cast & Character Guide

Godmothered opens with narration from June Squibb as Agnes, a charismatic fairy godmother who moonlights as the Motherland’s resident DJ. When it becomes apparent that people in the real world no longer believe in the concept of “happily ever after,” headmistress Moira considers shutting down the operation, which means that her students would have to become tooth fairies. In response, a trainee named Eleanor looks around for an assignment that could ensure her future as a fairy godmother and potentially save the Motherland. She makes a fantastic voyage to Boston in search of Mackenzie Walsh, someone who requested some “happily ever after” guidance. Godmothered was written by Kari Granlund and Melissa Stack.

Jillian Bell As Eleanor

Jillian Bell stars as Eleanor, a godmother-in-training who leaves the Motherland for Boston. Bell portrayed Mercedes in 22 Jump Street and Trina in Office Christmas Party. She recently appeared as Dr. Taylor Wood in Bill and Ted Face the Music.

Isla Fisher As Mackenzie Walsh

Isla Fisher co-stars as Mackenzie Walsh, a Boston widow who wrote to a fairy godmother as a child. Fisher portrayed Gloria Cleary in Wedding Crashers and starred as Rebecca Bloomwood in Confessions of a Shopaholic. She also appeared as Rebel Alley in Arrested Development and is married to Borat star Sacha Baron Cohen.

• Santiago Cabrera as Hugh Prince: Eleanor’s co-worker, a reporter. Santiago Cabrera portrayed Isaac Mendez in Heroes and Joseph Bachman in Big Little Lies. He currently appears as Cristóbal Rios in Star Trek: Picard.
• Mary Elizabeth Ellis as Paula: Eleanor’s sister, who watches her kids. Mary Elizabeth Ellis portrayed Michelle Chambers in Masterminds and Margaret in Free State of Jones. She also played Daphne Larson in Lodge 49 and plays The Waitress in It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
• Jane Curtin as Moira: The headmistress who wrote a book about fairy godmothering. An original Saturday Night Live cast member, Jane Curtin starred as Prymatt Conehead in Coneheads and Dr. Mary Albright in 3rd Rock from the Sun.
• Utkarsh Ambudkar as Grant: Eleanor’s boss, a news director. Utkarsh Ambudkar portrayed Donald in Pitch Perfect and Rishi Lahiri in The Mindy Project. He recently appeared as Max Vora in The Broken Hearts Gallery.
• Stephanie Weir as Barb: A Boston news anchor who offers bizarre on-camera commentaries. Stephanie Weir portrayed Debbie in Fun with Dick and Jane and Karen in Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. She recently appeared as Bonnie in Happy Together.
• Artemis Pebdani as Duff: Eleanor’s co-worker, a camera operator. Artemis Pebdani portrayed Bethenny in Modern Family and L.T. Koenig in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
• Jillian Shea Spaeder as Jane: Eleanor’s daughter who receives an opportunity to sing in a local parade. Jillian Shea Spaeder portrayed Bailey in Walk the Prank and Maria in No Good Nick.
• Willa Skye as Mia Walsh: Eleanor’s youngest daughter. Willa Skye portrayed Jenika in Lazy Susan.
• Olga Merediz as Beth: A trucker who finds Eleanor sitting by a tree. Olga Merediz portrayed Nanny in Mr. Popper’s Penguins and Malena in The Place Beyond the Pines. She also portrayed Lourdes in Orange Is the New Black and will soon appear as Abuela Claudia in In the Heights.
