Two of the most dangerous creatures in popular culture, Godzilla and the Xenomorph from Alien, have merged in fan art. Godzilla is currently enjoying a prominence in media. Sadly, his next adventure, Godzilla vs. Kong, was recently postponed to May 2021. As for the Xenomorphs, there hasn’t been a movie starring them since 2017’s Alien: Covenant. Although there is no confirmed film in the works, Ridley Scott recently discussed ways the series can continue.

What makes Godzilla truly terrifying is his immense size and power. Whenever he stomps through a city, utter destruction is left in his wake. On the flip side, a single Xenomorph isn’t quite as powerful. However, while Godzilla typically pays no mind to humans scrambling for safety, the Xenomorph intentionally hunts down every human it can find. Xenomorphs also kill their prey in a rather violent manner. It implants its egg, which eventually bursts out of the human’s chest. So, in that way, the Xenomorph may actually be scarier than Godzilla in certain circumstances. One might be able to escape the kaiju’s wrath if a warning is given, but attempting to outmaneuver a Xenomorph with no weapon will likely result in demise. That’s why fan art combining the two is both epic and terrifying to consider.

The art is impeccably detailed. The artist even changed Godzilla atomic blast into the Xenomorph’s acid. Sadly, the two creatures have never met, although they at one point shared Dark Horse as their comic book publisher. For now, a Godzilla and Xenomorph hybrid remains the stuff of imagination. It would certainly be a movie concept both the general audience and pop culture enthusiasts would be intrigued by.

What would make a Xenomorph Godzilla frightening is he would intentionally seek humans to kill. Only in a select few Godzilla movies does the kaiju target humans. To date, the most notable Xenomorph form (aside from the Queen) is the Predalien. At the end of Alien vs. Predator, a baby Xenomorph emerges from the main Predator, sporting the Predator’s mandibles. The Predalien served as the main antagonist in Alien vs. Predator: Requiem. While certainly a notable form, a combination with the strongest monster in popular culture, Godzilla, would make the Alien the most dangerous force in the universe.
