A new Godzilla vs. Kong poster has been released, showing the Titans going head-to-head. In under three weeks, two of pop culture’s most iconic characters will battle it out for supremacy. A couple of recent posters reveal just how tall these monsters are. Whether one is Team Godzilla or Team Kong, the audience will be the biggest winner of all.

Though it will soon be a reality, it’s still quite surreal to see Godzilla and Kong about to collide again. In 1962, TOHO released the supremely successful King Kong vs. Godzilla. As a crossover, the film successfully brought the creatures together for a fun showdown. That was over 55 years ago, so one can imagine the shock when the MonsterVerse was announced. Godzilla and Kong together in a Hollywood spectacle was a dream come true for fans. It’s easy to see how contagious the hype is for the movie by simply looking at the first trailer. The video has amassed over 68 million views since its late January premiere. There is undoubtedly more hype for this installment than previous MonsterVerse entries, which isn’t a surprise. It has been a while since the last big “Vs.” movie, and Godzilla vs. Kong appears to be pulling out all the stops.

Now, IMAX has released a new Godzilla vs. Kong poster. In the image, Godzilla is positioned above the city backdrop, while Kong roars from the bottom beside a different environment. Check out the poster below.

The poster is certainly visually appealing. It also does a good job contrasting the characters’ color aesthetics. Godzilla: King of the Monsters established Godzilla’s color theme as blue, seen in this poster. Likewise, Kong’s orange color theme is also reflected. All in all, the IMAX poster gets moviegoers ready for the big fight. Another head-to-head poster was released recently.

With tickets on sale, excitement for the MonsterVerse bout can only continue to grow. Godzilla vs. Kong has positioned itself as the cinematic event of the year. It should be a great treat witnessing the battle in IMAX format or Dolby Digital for those heading out to their theater. Besides the monsters, there are also the human characters and their allegiances to watch out for as well. How the story comes together will be very interesting to watch. Will Kong triumph over a seemingly antagonistic Godzilla, or will the giant reptile defeat the king of Skull Island? Soon, the answer to that vital question will be answered.
