House-flipping reality show Good Bones focuses on the dynamic between mother-daughter duo Karen E. Laine and Mina Starsiak Hawk, but Karen has another daughter – Kelsy Spaeth. Although Karen and Mina are Good Bones’ stars, there are still plenty of fascinating facts about Karen’s younger daughter Kelsy. From her marriage to her career journey before and after Two Chicks and a Hammer, here is all there is to know about Kelsy.

Good Bones is a reality series dedicated to a mother and daughter’s shared passion for flipping houses. Since 2008, Karen and Mina have kept their home rehab business running. In 2016, Karen and Mina’s house-flipping venture began to be featured on HGTV. In 2019, however, Karen announced she was stepping down from Two Chicks and a Hammer. Although Karen still appears in the reality series, Mina has taken on a larger role in the company, along with Karen’s other children. As Good Bones progressed, fans got to see more of Karen and Mina’s family, including Kelsy and Mina’s half-brother Tad. While the women of Two Chicks and a Hammer are hard workers, Karen and Mina Starsiak are family-oriented, as evidenced by their close relationship with Kelsy on and off of Good Bones.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Kelsy was born on October 15, 1992, making her 29 years old and a Libra zodiac sign. According to her LinkedIn, Kelsy attended Indiana University Bloomington in 2011. Kelsy was more than just a student during her time at IUB, as she worked as a help desk intern during her first three years at the college. Kelsy graduated from the university with her Bachelor’s degree in psychology and French in 2015. Kelsy also worked at a pizza restaurant in Indianapolis before she took on her first sales job after graduation. Only a couple of months after earning her degree, Kelsy started working as a sales associate at PepsiCo. After slightly more than a year at the food company, Kelsy was promoted to the role of district sales leader, exhibiting the Indianapolis-based Good Bones family’s work ethic.

After spending 2 and a half years at PepsiCo, Kelsy started working for her mother and sister’s business, Two Chicks and a Hammer. In 2018, Kelsy took on the role of Chief Business Officer at the family house renovation operation. When Karen stepped back from the business in 2019, Kelsy was there to pick up some of the slack that resulted in her mother’s absence. Kelsy continued at Two Chicks and a Hammer for over three years. Since February 2021, Kelsy has been working as a senior project manager at Studio Science. In addition to work, Kelsy has been busy in her love life. On November 7, 2020, Kelsy got married to her long-term boyfriend, Neil Spaeth. According to the couple’s The Knot page, they had been dating for at least three years before Neil proposed to Kelsy in Paris. Hopefully, Kelsy’s marriage will be featured in Good Bones season 6.

Kelsy might not be the main star of her family’s reality show, but that doesn’t make her any less essential. From her contribution to Two Chicks and a Hammer to walking down the aisle, Kelsy appears to have it all. Although her mother and sister have made Good Bones the hit show it is, Kelsy has been the real MVP, supporting the series from the sidelines.
