The new August update for Grounded introduced several new Burgl chips, tech chips players find strewn throughout the backyard and return to the friendly robot Burgl in exchange for rewards and perks. Players first met Burgl at the end of the first set of main story missions prior to the August update in the Oak Tree lab. Burgl can provide missions to the players every day. These tasks often focus on exploration, defeating certain enemies, and gathering materials. For each completed task, Burgl awards the player Raw Science, which they can exchange for upgrades at the Burgl Tech Chip Swap Shop.

One of Burgl’s chips is referred to as the Grave Robbery chip. This is an apt name, as players need to descend deep into a Soldier Ant anthill and find scattered bones of what appears to be another human to get it. This chip, oddly, appears in the exact same place as the Anthill chip players could find prior to the update. Right now, it does not appear to reward players with a perk or unlocked upgrade, as it seems the overall Chipsleuth quest has a few bugs. However, players can still earn 100 Raw Science from picking it up and returning it to Burgl, and a patch may be made that retroactively awards players with an unlockable perk for finding it. Here’s how to get to the Grave Robbery chip in Grounded.

Grave Robbery Burgl Chip Location in Grounded

Players will need to travel to the western anthill to find this chip. To reach it, they will need to go into the anthill and travel straight through the tunnel. They are likely to come across several Soldier Ants along the way.

Players should make every effort to craft and equip the Ant Armor prior to beginning this quest. There are many, many ants in this anthill, and they will engage the player and attack. When the player wears all three pieces of the Ant Armor set, they do not register as a threat to the ants, who will mostly leave them alone unless the player steals an egg or otherwise engages them. If the player does not have enough materials to do this, they will either need to try and outrun the horde of ants they will find at this location or be prepared to fight them all off.

At the intersection, players will need to turn left and head down the smaller tunnel emitting a soft purple light until they reach a room filled with a large group of ants surrounding a few eggs, some of which are broken. They should see a hole in the ground. They will need to jump down into the hole. There, against the wall, in the exact same spot as the Anthill chip, they will find the Grave Robbery chip.

Players can return this to Burgl to receive their Raw Science. Once a patch comes out, it is possible this chip will change locations, and it may become even more challenging to find and get.

Grounded is in early access and is available for PC and Xbox One. The full version is set to launch in 2021.
