Growing Up Chrisley: Savannah Rekindles Romance with Ex Nic Kerdiles

Savannah Chrisley opened up to Chrisley Knows Best fans about her decision to give her ex-fiancé, Nik Kerdiles, a second chance, and what she plans on doing differently to make it work this time. Nik and Savannah announced their relationship to the public in January 2018. The two got together after Savannah found him on Instagram and thought he was cute. She then did what any other girl would do and slid into his DMs, hoping he would respond. The two dated for three years, and even got engaged. Their wedding was set to take place in May 2020, but the couple decided to indefinitely postpone it while still remaining a couple. They decided to go back to being boyfriend and girlfriend to take the pressure off the relationship while they continued to grow together.

At the time, Savannah described her relationship to Nik as being unique, but said that it worked for them. She said the decision to cancel the wedding came after they both realized the relationship was moving a little too fast for the both of them, having gotten engaged after being together for less than a year. They were able to acknowledge that their relationship could seem weird to others, but it worked for them, and that is all that matters. Although it seemed like the couple was on the right path after cancelling their wedding, the two officially called it quits in September 2020. Savannah assured fans that there was no love lost between them, and they just had things they needed to work on within themselves, independently from each other.

Savannah recently revealed she is giving Nik another chance, and explained how she came to that decision. As E! News reports, Savannah and Nik are still in each other’s lives and trying to figure out how to make their relationship work, since they still love each other. Savannah also stated that they will be doing things a little differently this time around, to make sure they are able to make it work this time. According to Savannah, they are taking their relationship slow, and have decided to keep things off social media this time. She says she puts so much of her life out there for the public to comment on, but feels her relationship is something she deserves to keep for herself. Hearing the public’s opinion on everything puts extra pressure on the relationship and makes it harder to see clearly.

One thing Savannah worked on while the two were still broken up was her makeup line. Her line was inspired by her breakup and the emotions she was feeling throughout the process. She said she wanted to be the Taylor Swift of the makeup industry, since Taylor is also known to take her emotions from a breakup and use them in her music. Savannah is excited for her fans to see the collection because she thinks it is something everyone who has been through a breakup can relate to. Some of the eyeshadow palettes offered are called “Rebound,” “On to the Next,” and “Me, Myself, and I.” The one she is most excited about, is called “Blocked,” which she says is something everyone does to their ex after breaking up with them.

Savannah and Nik have both expressed their love for one another, and their desire for it to work out this time. It will be interesting to see how long Savannah is able to keep her relationship private, considering she appears on two different reality shows, Chrisley Knows Best and Growing Up Chrisley, with her family. It has never been easy for reality stars to keep their romantic relationships above water, so best of luck to Savannah and Nik.
