As players explore Liberty City in Grand Theft Auto III Definitive Edition, they may come across hidden packages that can earn them rewards. There are 100 packages in all to collect. There are many collectibles and side activities in GTA 3 Definitive Edition, including Stunt Jumps and hidden packages. Players should prioritize finding all 100 of these packages during the campaign because, for every 10 they collect, they will receive reward gear that can help them complete the main story.

Many of the hidden packages are easily found in GTA: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition’s Grand Theft Auto III. They are hidden off the beaten path, but players can still come across them fairly organically during gameplay. Others are more difficult to find, but the world of GTA 3 Definitive Edition isn’t that big compared to other entries in the series.

Each hidden package that players find in GTA 3 Definitive Edition rewards them with $1,000. In addition, every 10 packages that players find unlocks a different reward which can be collected at each of their three safe houses across the game’s three islands. Players may want these rewards if they aim to survive Grand Theft Auto III‘s brutal world.

Rewards For Finding Hidden Packages in Grand Theft Auto III

Players can receive the following rewards for collecting certain numbers of hidden packages in GTA 3 Definitive Edition:

  • 10 packages: pistol. The pistol is one of GTA 3’s most basic weapons, and it can easily be found in other locations throughout the game. Still, having one at the player’s hideout is great, and it’s a good backup weapon.
  • 20 packages: uzi. When players need a little extra firepower, the uzi is a safe bet. It’s also great because the players can use it in drivebys.
  • 30 packages: grenades. Grenades are great for taking out groups of enemies. They are also useful for when players need or want to blow up vehicles.
  • 40 packages: shotgun. Shotguns in most games are either underpowered and work only at very close range, or they are super deadly. In Grand Theft Auto 3, they fall into the latter category, especially in enemies’ hands.
  • 50 packages: body armor. Up until this point, players have been able to dish out all sorts of damage, but they are relatively squishy. After finding 50 packages, they will have protection right at their front door. Body armor will be very useful later in the game when it gets difficult, though the remasters are less difficult than the originals.
  • 60 packages: molotov cocktails. Molotov cocktails light environmental objects on fire including vehicles, which is both fun and useful.
  • 70 packages: AK-47. An old classic, the AK-47 is as reliable as it is deadly. Other weapons may perform better, but this weapon has endured to modern-day gaming for a reason.
  • 80 packages: sniper rifle. The sniper rifle is especially useful when enemies are trying to run away from the player.
  • 90 packages: M16. Like the AK-47, the M16 is another automatic rifle. The M16 is more powerful, but it is also harder to get.
  • 100 packages: rocket launcher. The rocket launcher is one of the best ways to take down helicopters in GTA 3 Definitive Edition and is useful for blowing up things in general. Players can use it to take out groups of people, but it’s probably best used to destroy vehicles since ammunition is limited.

GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
