Grand Theft Auto Online‘s latest update has added sizable discounts on the game’s Vehicle Workshops and Imani Tech car upgrades, along with the chance to claim the Weeny Issi for free and get bonuses on certain activities. Despite releasing almost a decade ago, GTA Online continues to expand, and Rockstar Games regularly updates the title with a handful of new additions including clothing items, missions, and vehicles. The acclaimed open-world sandbox now holds more than 600 vehicles players can purchase and a significant amount more are expected to be on the way, as Grand Theft Auto 5‘s Expanded & Enhanced remaster releases next month in March with exclusive vehicle upgrades and paint jobs for current-gen players.

Grand Theft Auto 5 recently saw renewed interest thanks to the launch of GTA Online‘s latest major update The Contract, which welcomed fan-favorite characters GTA 5‘s Franklin, Lamar, and Chop along with new gameplay additions. The update also added some star power with the addition of Dr. Dre, along with new music from the world-famous rapper. Appealing to GTA 5 fans, The Contract also seems to answer questions about the game’s ending, including the fate of both Franklin and Lamar, who have received additional GTA Online missions called Short Trips to help extend and expand the title’s lore.

Revealed on the Rockstar Games Newswire, GTA Online has received a new weekly content update that has added a free claimable vehicle and a slew of discounts on vehicles, Vehicle Workshops, Imani Tech upgrades, and bonuses on certain activities. The free vehicle, a Weeny Issi, is available for a week and is used during The Vespucci Job mission, wherein players can earn three times as much cash and XP as normal. With the addition of discounted cars, players who own the Celebrity Solutions Agency can purchase the Vehicle Workshop for 30% cheaper, along with two Imani Tech upgrades, the Remote Control Unit, and Missile Lock-On Jammer, which are additionally discounted by 25%. Rockstar has also added a few new test track vehicles, a new price ride challenge, a new podium vehicle, and bonuses on several other activities.

While the Agency Vehicle Workshop and Imani upgrades have only been added with the title’s newest The Contract update, Rockstar is planning to expand vehicle upgrades even further. The remastered PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of GTA Online will feature a new auto shop located in the LS Car Meet. This will allow players to upgrade five new vehicles and five existing cars with exclusive elite performance driving upgrades and paint jobs, with more vehicles set to receive performance boosts in future GTA Online updates.

GTA 5 is almost 9 years old and its multiplayer mode continues to flourish with regular updates and quality of life improvements. It’s unknown what ensuing updates will bring to the online sandbox, but players can expect more additions and freebies like the Weeny Issi in the future.

Grand Theft Auto Online is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
