There are a few ways to unlock clothing and customize characters in Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition. Typically, players will gain access to new outfits by beating certain missions in Vice City. Players can also put on a random outfit using a GTA: Vice City cheat code.

Unlike prior Grand Theft Auto titles like GTA: San Andreas or GTA V, players will not need to purchase clothing in GTA: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition’s Vice City. Once players complete the required mission or unlock a mission that requires them to dress a certain way, an icon will appear on the map and instruct them to travel to a specific location, often a shop, to access the new outfit.

Once players complete a mission in GTA: Vice City, the clothing item they used will spawn on the map where the mission was completed. Outfits are used to disguise the player, and changing clothing removes the wanted level as long as the wanted level is below two stars.

Unlockable Clothes In GTA Vice City: Definitive Edition

For a formal look in GTA: Vice City, players can unlock the red sweater vest and matching red plaid pants from the Country Club outfit after completing the “Four Iron” Mission outside of the Leaf Links golf course. Soiree, a GTA-borrowed, Miami-Vice-styled light blue suit with a black shirt, is outside Rafael’s after the associated mission, “The Party Mission,” is completed. Additionally, to dress as Mr. Vercetti in a pinstriped suit with a lilac shirt, players will need to purchase the Pole Position Club and find the icon outside of Collar & Cuffs.

In GTA: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition, cops can grab players to thwart their progress. The brown Cop outfit not only changes the player’s appearance but also prevents the cops inside the Washington Beach police station from attacking the player. It can be found inside the locker room of the station once players complete the “Cop Land” mission.

Bank Job is an outfit featuring a green jumpsuit and a hockey mask and can be obtained by completing “The Job” mission and accessing it upstairs at the Malibu Club. Havana is an outfit located inside the Little Havana Streetwear & Tattoo Parlor once players complete the “Two Bit Hit” mission. In GTA: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition, Vice City’s Havana outfit features a red bandana, a white graphic T-shirt, and blue jeans.

Another outfit players can unlock is the Coveralls, blue denim over a Hawaiian shirt. These are unlocked after players complete the “Riot” mission inside the Tooled Up hardware store in the North Point Mall. The Tracksuit is also available and located outside Jocksport just north of Downtown after the player completes the “Supply & Demand” mission. The Street outfit is the default outfit of blue jeans and a blue Hawaiian shirt and is only available as an unlocked option once players purchase the Hyman Condo property and complete the “Rub Out” mission.

The final unlockable outfit in GTA: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition’s Vice City is the Frankie attire. It is a reward for 100% completion of GTA: Vice City and can be found inside Tommy’s Mansion. The Frankie T-shirt reads “I completed Vice City and All I Got Was this Lousy T-shirt.” The T-shirt is paired with blue jeans.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
