Halo 2: Anniversary is out now on PC and players now have a chance to replay Master Chief’s second chapter. The game features upgraded graphics while still retaining Halo’s core qualities. The Xbox One version has also been getting updated to help better players’ experiences with the game.

The game features various items to obtain or pass by during the single-player campaign, including the terminals.

The terminals in Halo 2 feature backstory details that players can discover about the Halo universe in the form of cutscenes. They can be found in each mission, but only if players know how to find them. Finding these terminals will not always be easy.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Spoiler warning ahead for Halo 2: Anniversary.

Cairo Station:

The terminal can be found when players enter the level’s station. When in the station, players will traverse through a narrow hallway and approach a closed door with two Elites standing on the other side. This will happen during the level’s second mission goal.

Players must kill the Elites and then proceed upstairs behind the door. Once up the stairs, players will turn right and the level’s terminal will be in the room.

This terminal gives a little history of Vadamee and his role as Supreme Commander of the Covenant Fleet of Particular Justice.

Outskirts:

This mission’s terminal can be found in the climax. During the end of the mission, players will battle multiple waves of enemies in a wide-open area.

There will be a tunnel that players have to reenter. Before the tunnel, there will be a building in the middle that marines have taken refuge in. The terminal is located on the lower level’s right wall.

The second terminal again focuses on Vadamee’s efforts against humanity and the United Nations Space Command.

Metropolis:

During the mission, marines take shelter in this building that players will have to enter. Before entering the building, there will be three Wraiths players will need to take out.

The marines will then let players inside the building. The first hallway players enter on the left and there will be crates. The terminal will be behind the crates.

This third terminal focuses on Vadamee and the Covenant’s conquest of the planet Reach.

Arbiter:

To find the terminal, players first need to take enemies in the hanger area. They will then move down a couple of hallways until they reach a room with blue conveyor belts with transport fusion coils.

Before leaving, there will be a ramp that leads to the upper level. The terminal is located in that area.

The terminal looks into the aftermath of the destruction of the Halo between the events of Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2 through the eyes of the Covenant.

The Oracle:

During this mission, players will take a long elevator ride. After the elevator, players will be on top of a glass roof that they can shoot to drop down to the room below.

The room is a two-story structure where players will battle Flood and Heretics. Once that’s done, the terminal can be found on the left side of the room behind a wall.

This terminal again focuses on the aftermath of what happened with the Covenant following Halo: Combat Evolved.

Delta Halo:

At some point, players will approach a location where they have to extend a bridge to cross a chasm. On the other side will be two Wraiths.

Before extended the bridge, players need to look to the room’s left of the central hologram. The terminal will be located there.

The focus this time around is on how the Covenant was formed and the role of the Prophets and the Sangheili.

Regret:

Players will be on an elevator ride partaking in combat against several kinds of enemies, including Elites and Drones. After this elevator ride, players will find themselves in a three-story room.

On the top level, behind the large hologram, players need to go to the left wall. The terminal is on that wall.

The history of the Covenant is once again explored by examining the Prophets and their rule over the Sangheili.

Sacred Icon:

Players can find this terminal during the mission’s third objective. During this objective, players will descend through a couple of fusion cores.

Eventually, they will come through a hole with a divider that splits it. They will then need to drop to an area where they will see a skybox in the distance. The terminal can be found behind the support column on the right.

This terminal explores the Covenant’s procurement of an alien species that would benefit them greatly.

Quarantine Zone:

This terminal can be found easily during the first portion of the mission. Players will enter a burning building and eventually enter a room with a large force field protected robot.

Players just need to go underneath the robot to the other side of the room. The terminal is located on that side of the room.

This explores the Prophets’ forays into acquiring new alien technology.

Gravemind:

During the mission, players will enter a wide-open area. Players can drop down to follow this path that leads to a building on the right.

Players must venture beyond the building to proceed to an upper level that contains purple pods. The terminal will be next to a few of these pods.

An internal war within the Covenant is explored in this historical account.

Uprising:

There will be a large river that players will need to venture down on a Ghost. It will eventually lead to a bridge area and players will then have to go right.

There will be enemies that players must battle. Once that’s done, players must then go on top of the bridge that connects to a door and there will be pillars. The terminal is located behind one of them.

This examines the role of the Arbiters within the Covenant’s history.

High Charity:

The terminal can be found during the mission’s third objective. It’s pretty straightforward: players will take an elevator that leads to a room with a sword on a central altar.

Once players enter the room, they will immediately turn left. The terminal will be on the wall.

Vadamee’s origin and family history are explored, including his role as a Supreme Commander within the Covenant and what happened to him following the Halo’s destruction.

The Great Journey:

The final terminal will be very simplistic to find. During the mission, players will enter an area with prison cells with an upper level.

The terminal will be located on the right side of the floor. Players will need to shoot down a shield to access the terminal.

Vadamee’s fate following the Halo’s destruction is questioned.

During Microsoft’s next Xbox Series X showcasing, Halo: Infinite will be there. The next game in the franchise may also change how medals work.
