Halo Infinite Battle Pass Guide: What’s Included & Is It Worth It?

The Battle Pass for Halo Infinite includes special content that might be worth it for new players. While players will need to wait until December 8th to get their hands on the single-player campaign of Halo Infinite, Microsoft decided to drop the multiplayer mode early to celebrate the Halo 20th anniversary.

Xbox and PC users are able to experience the full multiplayer experience for absolutely free. While the multiplayer itself is free, Halo Infinite features a Battle Pass that players can subscribe to. Like many other titles that feature a Battle Pass, it is used as a progression system that rewards players with premium content.

While the game is currently in beta and the complete version releases on December 8th, season 1 of Halo Infinite has already begun. Players can purchase the Battle Pass for $10 USD. While season 1 won’t conclude until May 2022, this Battle Pass is different because it will never expire. Even when the season comes to a close, players can still complete whatever tasks they need to. There is no time limit, which is a nice change of pace.

The Premium Track rewards players with armor sets from older Halo titles like Halo 3: ODST and Halo Reach. There are a bunch of ways Halo Infinite looks similar to Halo 3 outside of just the armor sets. Ultimately, determining if the Battle Pass is worth it depends on the player’s personal preference.

Halo Infinite‘s Battle Pass will reward players with cosmetic items that don’t do anything to alter the competitive gameplay. This means free-to-play players and Battle Pass owners will be experiencing a lot of the same game. The only difference is that players who have the Battle Pass will have more costume options and flare. Not only that, but players can also earn additional XP tokens from the Battle Pass.

Picking up the Battle Pass does allow players to level up faster than playing for free. Every few tiers, players will be rewarded with an XP Boost.

• XP Grant: This is an item that will instantly give players 250 XP towards their Battle Pass.
• Double XP Boost: This will reward players with double XP for 30 minutes.
• Purchasing Tiers: Players can also purchase individual tiers using real money. To buy the entire Battle Pass from start to finish, it will run players around $200. This is the fastest method but also the most expensive.

Since Halo Infinite is completely free-to-play for multiplayer, it is recommended to pick up the Battle Pass. Not only is it a way to support a game the player enjoys, but it also gives players more to do in Halo Infinite. With 100 tiers of items to unlock, players will have a long road ahead of them to reach the very top.
