Almost three weeks after the multiplayer was released, Halo Infinite is coming into its own as a competitive first-person shooter. With players learning and improving at the game, they also work towards leveling their Season 1 – Heroes of Reach battle pass. Halo Infinite‘s battle pass increases in rank by completing challenges. Among these are daily challenges, simply requiring players to complete matches, and weekly challenges, which can require anything from assisting teammates in battle, winning the match in a specific game mode, or getting a certain number of kills with a specific weapon.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Recently, Halo Infinite received backlash on its slow battle pass progression system to which 343 responded by increasing the amount of XP earned from completing the daily challenges. While this is a step in the right direction, it can still become a frustrating experience for players when their progression is halted by an especially difficult, or grindy, challenge. Luckily, this is where the Challenge Swap consumable comes in to save the day.

The Challenge Swap is a consumable available to players in Halo Infinite that allows for an unwanted challenge to be exchanged for another random one. To use it, players must view their current challenges and press the icon next to the challenge they wish to replace. The icon is located to the left of each challenge and has two arrows inside a hexagon. Doing so will consume a player’s Challenge Swap and replace the unwanted challenge with another task ready to be completed.

How To Get Challenge Swap Consumables In Halo Infinite

Ironically, the best way for players to obtain Challenge Swap consumables in Halo Infinite is by completing challenges and ranking up the battle pass. The more a player levels up their battle pass, the more Challenge Swaps they will be rewarded with and have available to be used in the future. In the battle pass, Challenge Swaps are free rewards that can be earned every few levels, with the first being rewarded at rank 3 and the next at rank 5. Players do not need the premium battle pass to acquire them.

Another way players can increase their battle pass rank and be rewarded with more Challenge Swaps is to use XP Boosts. The XP Boost in Halo Infinite is a consumable that grants a player double XP for the next hour, however, XP Boosts are only rewarded to players with the premium battle pass. With double XP granted from completing any weekly challenges, in addition to the increase in XP rewarded from daily challenges being doubled, this is another way players can quickly level their rank in the battle pass to obtain more Challenge Swaps.

Challenge Swaps and XP Boosts are also available in the Boost and Swap Pack, available to be purchased from the Halo Infinite in-game shop with currency. The pack costs 200 credits (around $2) and includes two Challenge Swaps and two XP Boosts. Having this option available to players who feel they’ve hit a wall in completing their challenges might be just what is needed to help them break through. The Challenge Swap consumable can be an invaluable tool for players motivated to complete the Season 1 battle pass when assigned challenges either too difficult or time-consuming.
