The newest Halo Infinite event rewards accuracy and reflexes with the new Tactical Slayer playlist and cosmetics. Special limited events have become commonplace for Halo Inifinite’s free-to-play multiplayer. The themed events allow players to participate in special game types and work towards unlocking unique cosmetics and armors. While players wait for new Halo Infinite multiplayer maps, co-op campaign, and Forge Mode, they have been given a number of themed events to play and cosmetics to unlock.

Previous limited events for Halo Infinite’s multiplayer have introduced themed game types and items such as the Tenrai Samurai Spartan Armor and the Cyber Showdown Neon Mohawk. Certain unlocks are currently only available for purchase using in-game currency that, at this time, can only be purchased and not earned. 343 Industries has hinted that players will be able to play to earn Halo Infinite credits in Season 2, which also promises to deliver new maps and story-centric limited events. The next season of Halo Infinite’s multiplayer won’t be launching till May 3. Still, players will not need to wait long to play new game modes and earn new cosmetics for their Spartans.

Halo Infinite players with sharp reflexes and deep hatred towards the game’s shields may rejoice as the new Tactical Ops event has begun. HaloWaypoint blog details the latest event, which adds a Tactical Slayer playlist and new unlockables. The Tactical Slayer playlist is the return of a hardcore game variant, previously called SWAT, pitting two teams of four against each other with no shields, radar, and ultra-effective headshots. Tactical Slayer was a favorite for any Halo fans looking to test their precision in the fast-paced game type. The Tactical Ops event allows players to earn cosmetics like the Mark V ZETA helmet, which greatly resembles a particular Spartan helmet seen in previous Halo games.

Unlike previous Halo games, Halo Infinite’s free multiplayer is a first for the series. When it first launched, many players felt that the grind to unlock gear through the game’s battle pass felt unrewarding. Since then, the game has seen many changes and balances in an attempt to make playing Halo Infinite’s multiplayer a fun experience. Limited events such as the Fracture: Tenrai and Cyber Showdown introduced the chaotic Fiesta mode and the intense Attrition modes, which helped add some much-needed variation to the original three multiplayer playlists the game launched with. The newest Tactical Ops event will be adding even more for players to enjoy.

Limited timed events have been doing a great job introducing new game types and bringing back classic modes to Halo Infinite that fans loved from previous games in the series. After a few updates it has been less of a grind to level up in Halo Infinite, players are able to unlock more ways to customize their characters. Players skilled enough to unlock the newest Tactical Ops gear will be able to look stylish while they await new maps and content in the upcoming Season 2 of Halo Inifinite’s multiplayer.
