To thin the ranks of the Banished on Zeta Halo, one of Master Chief’s tasks in Halo Infinite is to identify the location of and eliminate fifteen High-Value targets who have built an infamous reputation in the UNSC. The High-Value targets have a variety of backgrounds, from serving the Covenant during the Human-Covenant war to formerly being pirates and mercenaries, and everything in between. High-Value targets are ruthless opponents and serve as mini-bosses in Halo Infinite.

Defeating High-Value targets is one method players can get more Valor fast in Halo Infinite. Better yet, the more Valor players accumulate, the easier it is to defeat each of the High-Value targets. High-Value targets are stronger versions of the various species encountered in Halo Infinite. While some have boosted shields that are similar to that of the main bosses in Halo Infinite’s campaign missions, others have no shields at all – making them easy targets.

In addition to receiving more Valor, players also receive a new weapon variant that can be requisitioned at a Foward Operating Base. Typically, many UNSC weapon variants can only be requisitioned when players reach a certain amount of Valor. Still, the weapon variants earned by defeating the Banished High-Value targets require no specific amount of Valor. For example, once players beat Balkarus, they can request a Riven Mangler any time in Halo Infinite’s campaign from any FOB.

Halo Infinite: High-Value Target Locations & Rewards

Each of the High-Value targets will use their signature weapon and be accompanied by ground forces. Additional reinforcements are usually set to arrive, and some of the High-Value targets are challenging to reach by anything other than Grappleshot in Halo Infinite. Nonetheless, players can easily defeat each Banished target by using the right tools for the right job.

Inka ‘Saham

  • Weapon Variant: Rapidfire Pulse Carbine
  • Location: Northside of the second island

Inka ‘Saham is one of the earlier High-Value targets that players can fight, but luckily his Rapidfire Pulse Carbine isn’t anything too fearsome. Additionally, players will need to use a Warthog in Halo Infinite to reach him quickly. Using a weapon with some range like a Sniper Rifle or Battle Rifle, players can easily take out the Elite at a safe distance. Unfortunately, getting too close to ‘Saham is a doomed strategy, as the Rapidfire Pulse Carbine shots track Master Chief.

Thav ‘Sebarim

  • Weapon Variant: Arcane Sentinel Beam
  • Location: South of FOB Bravo

Thav ‘Sebarim is an Elite who loves his Ghost and cannot be easily taken down when the Elite is inside of it. Master Chief’s best bet to defeat this High-Value target is with either power weapons or another vehicle. However, ‘Sebarim is nothing without his crew, so if players eliminate them first, they’ll have an easier time taking down the Banished High-Value target in the Halo Infinite campaign.

Okro ‘Vagaduun

  • Weapon Variant: Duelist Energy Sword
  • Location: Southwest coast of the first island

Okro ‘Vagaduun is the classic incarnation of a Spec Ops Elite. Though he has tough shields, ‘Vagaduun still prefers to remain invisible at the first sign of trouble. Thankfully, there are plenty of power weapons in the area that can be used to defeat him.

Bipbap

  • Weapon Variant: Calcine Disruptor
  • Location: North of the Excavation Site

Bipbap is one of the easier targets to take down, and it can happen so quickly that players may miss encountering him entirely. With no more health than the average Grunt, Bipbap cowers behind his fellow Grunts. Even a single well-placed grenade can take out Bipbap quickly.

Briglard

  • Weapon Variant: Unbound Plasma Pistol
  • Location: First island bridge terminal that connects to the second region in Halo Infinite

Like Bipbap, Briglard is just another Grunt that poses no threat to Master Chief. His reputation and behavior are influenced by the Brutes he associates with, but it’s nothing that Master Chief encounters. A well place grenade or Battle Rifle can make short work of Briglard, too.

Barroth

  • Weapon Variant: Stalker Rifle Ultra
  • Location: Southeast of Riven Gate

Anyone who has ever played Halo 2 on Legendary difficulty knows the pain of a Jackal with a Beam Rifle. In Halo Infinite, Barroth and his Stalker Rifle Ultra are similar. Being able to shoot Master Chief at long distances makes it hard to get a shot on the Jackal, but a single Sniper Rifle round to the head will make short work of Barroth. Even on Legendary difficulty in the Halo Infinite campaign, Barroth is no match against a well-placed shot.

Zeretus

  • Weapon Variant: M41 Tracker
  • Location: Northwest of FOB November

Zeretus may be the most challenging High-Value target to defeat in Halo Infinite. With a Rocket Launcher that tracks Master Chief, being left out in the open is a guaranteed way to be defeated by Zeretus, again and again. Save this Brute for the post-game activities, and use the Sniper Rifle variant to shoot him from atop the mountain next to his troops.

Balkarus

  • Weapon Variant: Riven Mangler
  • Location: North of the Forge of Teash

Balkarus used to serve directly under Atriox and was very active between Halo 5: Guardians and Halo Infinite. Though the Brute is perhaps just as ruthless to his troops as the UNSC, this fight can be won more easily with a Battle Rifle or VK78 Commando as Balkarus is highly mobile.

En’Geddon

  • Weapon Variant: Rushdown Hammer
  • Location: West of FOB Hotel

En’Geddon is a long-time member of the Banished, and a carefully transported Warthog full of UNSC Marines with Sniper Rifles will take down the Brute before he has a chance to use his infamous Rushdown Hammer. Any Brute that uses a Gravity Hammer in Halo Infinite is already a handful.

Ik’novus The Devourer

  • Weapon Variant: Volatile Skewer
  • Location: West of FOB Echo, near a Halo Infinite Propaganda Tower location

Ik’novus The Devourer’s title is as terrifying as it sounds, and his Volatile Skewer has probably doubled as a dining utensil. Bring another Warthog full of Marines with either Sniper Rifles or Sentinel Beams to end this fight as quickly as it starts. They’ll quickly serve The Devourer his “just desserts.”

Arthoc

  • Weapon Variant: Ravager Rebound
  • Location: West of FOB November

Arthoc is an efficient Brute High-Value target, and his Ravenger Round allows the plasma weapon to bounce its shots off the ground. Keep distance, and use a Scorpion Tank to defeat Arthoc quickly.

Writh Kul

  • Weapon Variant: Pinpoint Needler
  • Location: Mountain south of the fourth island

A straightforward fight; highjack a Banshee and defeat Writh Kul atop her mountain.

Skimmer Alpha

  • Weapon Variant: Purging Shock Rifle
  • Location: North of FOB Juliet

Skimmer Alpha is accompanied by other Skimmer and has reinforcements join in the fight as well. Any precision weapon in Halo Infinite will get this job done quickly and easily, but because Alpha is inside a cave, it is harder to take the new enemies down. However, be careful not to venture too far into the cave, as reinforcements will push Master Chief back against the wall.

Myriad Bond Brothers

  • Weapon Variant: Backdraft Cindershot
  • Location: South of FOB Juliet

The Myriad Bond Brothers are a pair of Hunters that are best saved for later in Halo Infinite. The easiest way to defeat the team is by requisitioning a Wasp and reigning fire down on them from above. Be careful though, their weapons can still reach the Wasp, and there are plenty of Grunts in the area that can disable it with their Disruptor pistols.

Ordo ‘Mal

  • Weapon Variant: Scatterbound Heatwave
  • Location: North of FOB Hotel

Though he may be holding a variant of the Heatwave Shotgun in Halo Infinite, Ordo ‘Mal will be driving a Wraith when players encounter him. The easiest way to defeat this Elite is by perching up above on a mountaintop and sniping the Wraith driver seat directly. ‘Mal will take multiple shots to beat, so be sure to bring a Sniper Rifle with full ammo.

Halo Infinite is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
