A team-up between Kellogg’s and Microsoft will allow gamers to earn double experience in Halo Infinite by eating snacks like Pringles and Pop-Tarts. The upcoming first-person shooter, developed by 343 Industries, will be the latest installment in the iconic sci-fi franchise. The Halo Infinite XP boost will be the latest in a long history of collaborations between Microsoft and Pringles, ensuring that gamers stay satisfied while they play.

After a series of delays, 343 Industries’ Halo Infinite looks set to launch on December 8, 2021. The game will see the return of series protagonist Master Chief, now wearing armor that closely resembles his original iconic design. Halo Infinite‘s single-player campaign is said to feature more open environments than previous installments, allowing players to approach objectives and combat encounters from a variety of angles. The game will also feature familiar franchise weapons, such as the Battle Rifle and Needler. Halo Infinite‘s new additions to the franchise include five new weapons, multiple new abilities and a free-to-play structure for multiplayer.

An announcement from the Kellogg’s Company on PR Newswire details a new collaboration between the snack distributor and Halo Infinite. Between September 15, 2021 and January 31, 2022, gamers will be able to earn Double XP in Halo Infinite by buying select snacks and uploading the receipt to Kellogg’s Family Rewards. The promotion comes just in time for the game’s December 8 release, with these branded snacks arriving just in time for the launch. The savory snacks that are included in this promotion are Cheez-It Grooves, Pop-Tarts, Pringles and Bear Naked granola.

Gamers need to stay fueled up while they play intense shooters like Halo Infinite, and cross-promotions let them earn in-game rewards from their favorite snacks. A special Halo Infinite variety of Rockstar Energy Drink was recently announced, giving players yet another way to power their first-person shooter skills. While the full extent of the collaboration will not be revealed until October 1, gamers can definitely expect to see the shiny visage of Master Chief adorn a can of Rockstar Energy. Halo fans must wait to see whether the promotion involves a new flavor or in-game rewards.

Cross-promotion between snack distributors and game publishers in nothing new, especially for the Halo franchise. Most gamers do enjoy snacks while they play, so working with Kellogg’s is a smart way to drum up hype for the release of Halo Infinite. By cracking into a box of Pop-Tarts or a can of Pringles, first-person shooter fans can satiate their appetites while also earning double experience within Halo Infinite‘s multiplayer arena.

Halo Infinite will release on December 8, 2021 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
