Destiny 2: Season of Arrivals plans to keep guardians busy all summer long with new challenges around the galaxy. While the lion’s share of new loot will be distributed by the Drifter, season pass holders will find a special surprise Ghost shell waiting for them in the tower in the hands of Cryptarch Rahool.

Each season, the Power level cap rises in Destiny 2. Much to the chagrin of returning players from a few seasons ago, the chase to catch up with consistent players can sometimes be rough. The Hardlink Shell has an XP boost that may prove invaluable to grinding to the new power cap of 1050 and beyond. This guide will outline the conditions players must meet to get the Hardlink Shell, and where to find it in the tower.

Finding the Hardlink Shell in the Tower in Destiny 2

The Hardlink Shell was introduced in the previous season, “Season of the Worthy.” So, some players may already be guided by this ominous and industrial ghost shell. Season pass holders who did not participate in the last season still have a chance though. Upon logging in during the Season of Arrivals, players should seek out Cryptarch Rahool in the Tower. His placement remains unchanged with this new season. He is holding onto a Hardlink Shell and will give it to players for free. No glimmer, shards, cores, etc. necessary. Again, this only applies to season pass holders. Destiny 2 players on the Stadia platform actually get the season pass for free, but only until the end of this current Season of Arrivals.

Hardlink Shell Perks in Destiny 2

The Hardlink Shell has some pretty nifty perks. Guiding Light increases all experience gains by 10%, making the grind to peak power much easier. Omni-telemetry generates gunsmith materials on elemental weapon kills, allowing players to rank up their Gunsmith relationship to get high power weapons. The third perk is a random roll, most likely associated with a planet specific perk that makes finding crafting material easier.

Utilizing the Hardlink Shell to Beat the Season of Arrivals in Destiny 2

This experience boosting gift is an olive branch from Bungie for players who might feel intimidated getting back into Destiny 2: Season of Arrivals. This season has proven to tap into the adventurous spirit of Destiny that brought players in from the start, and the drama involving the mysterious pyramid ships is going to require all the Power players can muster. Not to mention that the new public event “Contact” involved combat against enemies of Power level 1000 at least, meaning Guardians have to be rolling in at 950 to do damage. Every point of Power counts in getting access to the best adventures, so season pass holders should check in with Cryptarch Rahool today.
