This fun tattoo is a wonderful and subtle tribute to Remus Lupin. Professor Lupin first met Harry Potter on the Hogwarts Express. Harry was attacked by a dementor on the train as they were sent in to look for Sirius Black, and Professor Lupin woke up in time to cast a Patronus charm.

Lupin then advised Harry to eat some chocolate, which he claimed would help him to feel better after the attack. This detail is perfectly portrayed in this tattoo!

6 Riddikulus

I have to show off my Lupin – Boggart tattoo that I got last week. I’ve been wanting thr spell ‘Riddikulus’ for several years now and it was just recently that I came up with the full moon and the shadow of the werewolf in it. Lupin has always been my favorite character, despite having a terrible affliction that turned him into a monster, he never let the monster consume him and he was always a caring and wonderful person, even if he was extremely self deprecating. His first lesson to his students was to face their fears and also overcome them. I love having that constant reminder with me all the time now. These books and characters have meant the world to me growing up and I’ll carry them in my heart and now on my skin for the rest of my life! One moment from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban that all was definitely lighthearted, was a moment that included Professor Lupin. Lupin, who came to Hogwarts to take over the position as Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, taught a class about Bogarts, which was one of the most fun scenes in the film.

Professor Lupin taught students how to make Bogarts disappear with the spell, “Riddikulus,” which essentially turned these creatures into a joke. This tattoo is the perfect nod to Lupin!

Remus Lupin was responsible for Harry Potter’s ability to produce a Patronus charm, mostly because Professor Lupin taught Harry how to do it. After Harry was attacked multiple times by the dementors at Hogwarts, he confided in Remus, asking him to help him protect himself from them.

Professor Lupin then taught Harry how to conjure a Patronus, and the time they spent together was incredibly important to these two characters. This tattoo illustrates Remus producing a charm on him own and is so well done!
