Here’s EVERY Unlockable Suit In Marvel’s Spider-Man PS4 Game

Marvel’s Spider-Man PS4 game comes with 27 unique suits/costumes for the eponymous superhero, including the famed Advanced Suit that has been featured in all of the promotional materials so far. Early on in the game’s marketing, it was confirmed that players would be able to unlock various other suits to use throughout the story. Some of them were even confirmed this past summer, such as the Velocity Suit and the Iron Spider suit from Anthony and Joe Russo’s Avengers: Infinity War movie.

Keep in mind the aforementioned 27 suits are only the ones from the base game, not counting the new suits coming as part of Spider-Man’s The City That Never Sleeps DLC, which costs $25 for all three chapters. It’s been revealed that there are at least three new suits in the DLC, which each chapter coming with at least one new costume. That means there could potentially be six or more suits on top of what has already released in the standard title.

Below are all 27 suits that come with Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man PS4 -including their powers and what’s required to unlock them – starting with the Advanced Suit that was designed specifically for this new game.

Advanced Suit

• No requirements

The Advanced Suit is unlocked through completing one of the early story missions, after Dr. Otto Octavius discovers Peter Parker repairing one of the older Spider-Man costumes. This suit comes with the Battle Focus power: “Hybrid biomembrane rapidly generates Focus for a short time.”

Classic Suit (damaged)

• No requirements

Players start Marvel’s Spider-Man with the Classic Suit, using it for the first few objectives before acquiring the Advanced Suit. Since it’s the starting suit, it doesn’t come with a unique power. Furthermore, the suit becomes “damaged” after completing the first mission, which ultimately leads to Spidey creating the new suit.

Classic Suit (repaired)

• 2 Backpack Tokens
• 2 Crime Tokens

Players have the option to “repair” the Classic Suit. Doing so will result in the Classic Suit’s Web Blossom power: “Leap into the air and web everything in sight.”

Noir Suit

• 2 Backpack Tokens
• 1 Base Token
• Level 3/4

The Noir Suit is obtained early on in the game. But by the time the “Suits” tab is made available to players in the menu, the Noir Suit is already unlocked – typically around Level 3 or 4. It comes with the Sound of Silence power: “Enemies no longer call for backup when alerted.”

Scarlet Spider Suit

• 3 Crime Tokens
• 2 Landmark Tokens
• Level 3/4

The Scarlet Spider Suit is unlocked early on, and it comes with the Holo Decoy power: “Experimental AR tech spawns multiple Holo Decoys that stun attacking enemies before decaying.”

Spider Armor – MK II Suit

• 1 Base Token
• 1 Landmark Token
• 2 Research Tokens
• Level 5/6

One of the most useful suits early on is the Spider Armor – MK II Suit, since it unlocks the Bullet Proof power: “Magnetically polarized armor plating makes suit temporarily bullet-proof against all enemies, even snipers.” This can be quite useful in hectic situations, especially when clearing bases.

Secret War Suit

• 2 Backpack Tokens
• 1 Base Token
• 2 Research Tokens
• Level 7

Based on the character’s suit from the Secret Wars comic series, the Secret War Suit comes with the Arms Race power: “Discharges amplified EMP build-up to stun enemies and disable their weapons.” Just like the bullet-proof armor, this power is quite useful in situations that can overwhelm players.

Stark Suit

• 1 Base Token
• 3 Crime Tokens
• 1 Research Token
• Level 9

The Stark Suit is based on the costume from Jon Watts’ Spider-Man: Homecoming movie, and it comes with the gadget Tom Holland’s Peter Parker uses midway through the film, known as the Spider-Bro power in this game: “Calls in a Spider-Bro to temporarily aid in combat.”

Negative Suit

• 1 Base Token
• 2 Landmark Tokens
• 1 Research Token
• Level 11

The Negative Suit is based on Mister Negative, who is one of the many villains in Marvel’s Spider-Man game. And it comes with the Negative Shockwave power: “Synchronizes nano-mesh particles to unleash a devastating wave of negative energy.”

Electrically Insulated Suit

• 1 Base Token
• 3 Crime Tokens
• 1 Research Token
• Level 13

The Electrically Insulated Suit understandably unlocks the Electric Punch power: “Kit bashed high-discharge capacitors temporarily electrify gauntlets, electrifying enemies.”

Spider-Punk Suit

• 2 Backpack Tokens
• 3 Crime Tokens
• 2 Landmark Tokens
• Level 16

One of the more unique costumes in the game, the Spider-Punk Suit gives players Spidey’s uncharacteristic Rock Out power: “Blasts enemies with waves of righteous sound.”

Wrestler Suit

• 2 Backpack Tokens
• 2 Base Tokens
• 2 Research Tokens
• Level 19

In combat, webbing brutes and swinging them around is an easy way to get out of a hairy situation. And the Wrestler Suit’s King of the Ring power – “Web Throw enemies without having to web them up” – makes that a tad bit easier, especially if players are waiting for their web-shooters to refill.

Fear Itself Suit

• 2 Base  Tokens
• 6 Challenge Tokens
• 3 Research Tokens
• Level 21

The Fear Itself Suit is the first suit to give players powers – specifically the Quad Damage power: “Assistive nano-musculature temporarily deals MASSIVE damage” – that deal extra damage, which is why Spidey’s gauntlets appear bigger than normal.

Stealth “Big Time” Suit

• 2 Base Tokens
• 4 Challenge Tokens
• 3 Landmark Tokens
• Level 23

Stealth in Marvel’s Spider-Man isn’t as refined as in other games, so using the Stealth Suit helps out a lot in that regard, because of its Blur Projector power: “Create a distortion field that can obscure you from non-alerted enemies’ vision.”

Spider Armor – MK III Suit

• 2 Base Tokens
• 4 Challenge TOkens
• 4 Crime Tokens
• Level 26

Marvel’s Spider-Man comes with multiple Spider Armor suits, including the MK III, which has been referred to as the Anti-Sinister costume before. That makes sense since it unlocks the Titantium Allow Plates armor: “Dynamic semi-liquid smart metal crystallizes to reflect all bullets, except for sniper rounds, back at shooters.”

Spider-Man 2099 Black Suit

• 2 Base Tokens
• 4 Crime Tokens
• 4 Research Tokens
• Level 29

A comic book costume that will surely excite longtime fans of Spidey, the Spider-Man 2099 Black Suit comes with the Low Gravity power – “Decrease gravity while in the air” – which can help generate Focus much faster and, thus, defeat enemies quicker using finishing moves.

Iron Spider Suit

• 3 Base Tokens
• 3 Challenge Tokens
• 4 Crime Tokens
• Level 31

The Iron Spider Suit from this year’s Avengers: Infinity War movie will certainly be one of the more popular costumes in the game, especially since it utilizes the Iron Arms power: “Wreak havoc with four articulated arms made from rapidly growing mono-atomic iron alloy crystal.”

Velocity Suit

• 2 Backpack Tokens
• 4 Challenge Tokens
• 2 Landmark Tokens
• Level 33

Unlike most costumes in Marvel’s Spider-Man game, the Velocity Suit actually doesn’t come with any unique powers or abilities; it’s simply unlocked for cosmetic reasons only.

Spider Armor – MK IV Suit

• 4 Base Tokens
• 4 Challenge Tokens
• 3 Landmark Tokens
• Level 35

The last MK-armored suit in the game is the Spider Armor – MK IV Suit, which absorbs damage – using the Defense Shield power: “Experimental magnetic weave generates an energy shield that temporarily absorbs all damage” – instead of deflecting or reflecting it.

Spirit Spider

• 6 Base Tokens
• 6 Challenge Tokens
• 6 Crime Tokens
• Level 37

Perhaps the most unique costume in the game, the Spirit Spider Suit heavily resembles Marvel’s Ghost Rider, and it comes with the Spirit Fire power: “Channels unstable waves of damaging ethereal energy from… somewhere…”

Spider-Man 2099 White Suit

• 4 Base Tokens
• 4 Challenge Tokens
• 4 Crime Tokens
• Level 39

Along with the Black Suit, the game also comes with the Spider-Man 2099 White Suit, which has a different ability – the Concussion Strike power: “Ventilated concussive technology temporarily sends enemies flying with every attack.”

Vintage Comic Book Suit

• 4 Backpack Tokens
• 4 Challenge Tokens
• 4 Crime Tokens
• Level 41

While it’s not the most unique, it is certainly the coolest costume in the game. The Vintage Comic Book Suit looks like it has been taken straight out of the comics, and that’s why its power is the most unique. The Quips power: “Insult your enemies pride.” It may not sound like much, but it actually does pack a punch.

Last Stand Suit

• 20 Crime Tokens
• Level 45

The Last Stand Suit is the final costume that’s unlocked by reaching a certain player level in the game, and it comes with the Unrelenting Fury power: “Enemies cannot block or interrupt your attacks, even if they have shields.” It’s worth noting that, while the Last Stand Suit unlocks at Level 45, players don’t cap until Level 50.

Anti-Ock Suit

• No requirement

Since Peter Parker was mostly responsible for designing Doc Ock’s suit, he was also able to create the Anti-Ock Suit to defeat him, which is automatically unlocked after completing the main story. It also comes with the Resupply power: “Distributed nano-mesh continuously refills current gadget’s shots.”

Undies Suit

• No requirement

Another costume (or, lack thereof) that unlocks after completing the main story is the Undies Suit, which gives players the Equalizer Power: “Everyone goes down in one hit, including you.” It really does put everyone on an equal footing.

Homemade Suit

• Find all Backpacks

The Homemade Suit is also from the Spider-Man: Homecoming movie, but it doesn’t come with any unique powers – which makes sense given that it was, well… made in Peter Parker’s home.

Dark Suit

• Complete all Black Cat Stakeouts

Just like the Homemade Suit, the Dark Suit doesn’t come with any unique powers. It also requires players to complete every Black Cat Stakeout, which subtly sets up the story in the upcoming The City That Never Sleeps DLC, which officially introduces Black Cat into the game’s universe.

While most of the aforementioned suits come with their own unique powers, once unlocked, players can use those powers on any suit/costume they want. And completing all the side objectives in the open world should yield enough tokens to acquire each costume as well. However, if anything, players may need to redo a few of the Challenges in order to obtain enough of those tokens, depending on how well they do the first time around.

Again, it’s worth pointing out that the upcoming story DLC that releases later this year will also come with new suits that aren’t in the base game. When they do release, be sure to check back here for an updated list on all of the costumes in Marvel’s Spider-Man game for PS4.
