The unique reality show Love Is Blind attempts to prove that emotional connections are more important than physical ones, and along the way, viewers have been tweeting some hilarious insights about the onscreen action. Season 2 started off with 15 single women and 15 single men who wanted to give this innovative dating show a shot in order to find the loves of their lives. Out of these 30 singletons, six couples got engaged and moved on to their honeymoons. Unfortunately, it appears some contestants may have missed the overall point of the show.

At first glance, it may appear as though Love Is Blind producers succeeded in their goal, as couples who are complete opposites, like devout Catholic Shaina Hurley and atheist Kyle Abrams, got engaged despite their differences. However, there are couples like Deepti Vempati and Abhishek “Shake” Chatterjee who are struggling with their connections. Fans are paying close attention to the contestants and their struggles. Nothing falls through the cracks when it comes to the viewers, as they share exactly how they feel on Twitter.

Focusing on Appearance

The whole point of Love Is Blind is to not focus on what the other people look like. However, some contestants, including Shayne Jansen, completely missed the memo. Although asking Shaina about her appearance might’ve originally been an icebreaker, it became a regular occurrence. Some fans find it off-putting that cast members are questioned about appearances when it’s supposed to be a non-factor. One user m_illyb tweeted, in a now-deleted post, “Shayne asking Shaina what she’s wearing every time she’s in the pod.”

Jessica vs. Shaina

Jessica Batten and Mark Cuevas from season 1 found themselves in a love triangle. This season, Shaina replaces Love Is Blind‘s Jessica due to her own inability to decide between two men. It’s hard for viewers to miss the similarities, and she’s quickly become one of the season 2 villains.

Sensitive Sal

Sometimes, finding a genuine, sensitive, and caring man may seem like searching for a needle in a haystack, but Salvatore “Sal” Perez is the complete package. Despite his good-natured attitude, Mallory Zapata seems to have her reserves, and she may have her eye on another man. Many viewers feel for Sal, as it appears that his feelings are not returned.

Although some viewers believe that none of the couples will say “I do,” there is still one episode left, which will determine whether love is truly blind. Hopefully, these couples, like Nick Thompson and Danielle Ruhl, will continue putting aside their differences and work towards their shared goal of building a life together. In the end, as they wait for the season finale of Love Is Blind, viewers are hoping for the best for these couples.
