Hitman 3: How to Use The Mysterious Switch (Dartmoor Level)

In the Dartmoor level of Hitman 3, players can unlock a hidden passageway behind a bookcase. This guide will show players how they can use the Mysterious Switch in the game. Hitman 3 only has a handful of levels, but each one is expertly crafted with tons of hidden pathways, challenges, and Mastery Level to complete. Completing challenges in levels is the best way to increase your Mastery Level, allowing players to unlock tons of hidden weapons and equipment that make completing other levels much easier (& more fun). One of these equipment items allows for Agent 47 to poison food to take down enemies. Now in the Dartmoor level, players will encounter a bookcase that needs a key to open. This guide will show how players can activate this mysterious switch.

When entering the Dartmoor mission, the player will be prompted to enter the mansion. There will be a bookcase that players can open up once they find the switch. Fortunately, players don’t have to go too far to complete this challenge. For starters, players will need to find a crowbar. Head back outside and go to the eastern side of the mansion. There will be a grocery van near a crate with the crowbar resting on it. Grab this to begin the quest to unlock the mysterious switch.

How To Unlock The Mysterious Switch in Dartmoor of Hitman 3

Now that the player has collected the crowbar, head back inside of the mansion and take the stairs to level 1. The player will then need to head over to Emma and Gregory’s room and use the crowbar to break open the door. There will be a walking cane resting on the dresser inside of this room. Grab this, as this acts as the key to the Mysterious Switch. Now, head back to the bookcase and use the walking cane to open up the pathway. There are tons of items to collect in this room, including an unopened letter from Montgomery. Players can also use this location to hide from enemies if needed. It’s one of those pleasant secrets that just keeps on giving.

Hitman 3 is one of the best entries in the series to date. Since the title was picked up by Square Enix, it has been a solid return to form of what the series has been known for, traveling the world and taking down people to complete those contracts. It will be interesting to see what happens in the series now that the trilogy is over.
