Though Zendaya has never appeared in a piece of the Harry Potter franchise, she’s a huge fan. Her 22nd birthday was Harry Potter themed, and she’s admitted in interviews to watching the movies on a fairly regular basis because she enjoys them so much. Her love for the series likely means she already knows which Hogwarts house she would be, but Screen Rant is taking a look at where her different characters would end up.

A large number of Zendaya’s early roles were for the Disney Channel. Their series Shake It Up, in which she starred with Bella Thorne as an aspiring dancer, gave the actress her big break. Since then, she’s gone on to leading roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Spider-Man’s MJ and in HBO’s Euphoria as Rue. Many of the characters she’s played are very intelligent women, even wise beyond their years, but they wouldn’t all end up in the same Hogwarts houses.

10 Rocky (Shake It Up): Ravenclaw

With Shake It Up being the project that gave Zendaya her big break, it’s only fitting Rocky leads the list. Rocky likes things orderly and logical. She plans out her life and thinks about every consequence of her actions.

Rocky takes her academic career very seriously. She loves learning new things and applying what she knows. That appetite for knowing more is a sure sign of a Ravenclaw.

9 KC (KC Undercover): Gryffindor

KC lives a double life. She’s an average high school student and a spy. That might make some think of her as a Slytherin, but she’s definitely a Gryffindor at heart.

KC always wants to do the right thing, and she does that by following her heroic instincts. Her entire family lives the hero’s life, so she comes by it honestly. While she relies on her emotions a lot to figure out what to do, she also relies on her own moral compass.

8 Meechee (Smallfoot): Ravenclaw

Meechee believes that curiosity is one of the most important parts of life. She knows that you can’t learn and grow if you don’t question and observe the world around you. She’s a more practical version of a Ravenclaw than an academic one.

Not only does Meechee gather her own evidence about “smallfeet,” but she also leads others in studying the possibility of their existence. Once confronted with the human world, Meechee is all ready to learn everything she can about it.

7 Cut-Throat (Bad Blood): Hufflepuff

Though Taylor Swift is known for her nice girl image, she’s played around with a lot of aesthetics for her music videos. For “Bad Blood,” Swift recruited a lot of her famous friends to star as a variety of spies, mercenaries, and all-around action heroines.

Zendaya appears in the video as Cut-Throat, a woman with an affinity for knives and one of Swift’s team. Since the entire premise of the video is that one member betrayed her, those who stick by her side seem to value loyalty. They’re also shown in some intense training sequences, so it’s clear they aren’t afraid of a little hard work. Cut-Throat, with what little information is available, is a likely fit for Hufflepuff.

6 Anne (The Greatest Showman): Ravenclaw

Though Anne has a lot of Gryffindor tendencies, like engaging in acrobatics that could be described as death-defying, she’s also someone who is in her own head a lot in The Greatest Showman.

Anne and her brother run their own act. That means they have to understand the physics required to keep themselves safe. That’s one point for Ravenclaw. Another point for Ravenclaw? Anne’s tendency to overthink everything before she makes a decision when she’s not up on the high wire.

5 Sequoia Jones (ANT Farm): Slytherin

Part of Zendaya’s Disney Channel run included guest-starring on the series ANT Farm. It’s one of the few times fans get to see her in a Slytherin role.

Sequoia is an actress with big ambitions. She’s ready to snag the role of a lifetime as someone obsessed with a child prodigy. In order to do it, she researches the role by actually following around and tormenting a musical prodigy. Her ambition and commitment to her career make her cross some very strange lines.

4 Rue (Euphoria): Ravenclaw

Zendaya might soon find herself typecast in the “smart girl” roles. She plays quite a few characters who are more at home in their own heads than they are around other people. Euphoria’s Rue is one of those characters, which is why she sorts neatly into Ravenclaw.

Rue is the kind of person who observes and analyzes everything around her. She’s also the kind of person to pick apart the state of the world in her head and foresee possible futures.

3 Halley (Frenemies): Ravenclaw

Zendaya and Bella Thorne get the chance to work together again beyond their time on Shake It Up in this Disney Channel original movie. Like their series, the two star as best friends with lofty dreams. Also like in their series, Zendaya’s Halley is the Ravenclaw of the pair.

Halley has trouble talking to people, though she’s excellent at getting words on a page. She searches for stories in the world around her and records them on a website she designed with her best friend. Halley sees the world as a collection of stories just waiting to be told.

2 Zoey (Zapped): Slytherin

In the Disney movie Zapped, Zoey has a deep need for control. She doesn’t like it when the world around her seems to be spinning out, and she does whatever she can to fix it.

In this case, that means using a magical app on her phone to control all of the boys around her. While Zoey ultimately learns that what she’s doing is wrong, she’s still got the ambition and the cunning of a Slytherin that lead her.

1 MJ (MCU): Ravenclaw

Michelle, who prefers to be called MJ in the newest batch of Spider-Man films, seems to always be observing the world around her – when she’s not busy reading. Everyone at Midtown Science & Tech is incredibly intelligent, to be sure. MJ just happens to primarily be motivated by her acquisition of knowledge.

She’s the only person to actually figure out that Peter Parker is Spider-Man without catching him in the act. MJ also seems to never forget the pieces of knowledge she acquires, being able to pull out seemingly random information that no one else knows.
