Winterfest is considered one of the best Fortniteevents in the game’s history so, when Epic Games announced Winterfest would be returning this year, fans couldn’t wait for Fortnite Winterfest 2021. The event, which runs from December 16 to January 6th, 2022, boasts generous presents, limited-time Winterfest quests, and exclusive Spiderman: No Way Home content including Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and Zendaya’s MJ. The Winterfest Lodge, featured in previous Winterfest events, makes a return for 2021 offering daily login rewards in the form of presents including new Fortnite Outfits, accessories, and more.

Winter and Christmas cheer spread throughout Fortnite’s Battle Royale island too. The wintery landscape covers Fortnite‘s map in snow and introduces Sgt. Winter and his Red-Nosed Rangers. These characters drive around the island dropping gifts to players, as well as new offensive items for Fortnite Winterfest 2021: Snowball Launchers and Chiller Grenades.

A stealth item for Fortnite‘s Winterfest 2021, Sneaky Snowman, allows players to place a snowman on the map that they can hide inside. If they’re lucky, players may come across Holiday Presents in-game. These Holiday Presents will drop a Legendary Weapon and various other loot, so it’s definitely worth the time and effort.

Fortnite Winterfest 2021 Brings Back Winterfest Lodge

Winterfest 2019 introduced the Winterfest Lodge, where players could log in daily to open a different present each day. Fortnite Winterfest 2021 sees the return of the Winterfest Lodge where, as in previous years, players can unwrap one present every day for two weeks. The many gifts consist of two Outfits, two Pickaxes, two Wraps, and an assortment of Emotes and graphics like Sprays. Here are all 14 gifts that players can unwrap at the Winterfest Lodge during Winterfest 2021:

Last year’s Winterfest Lodge also gave players 14 gifts to unwrap in total, including two Outfits: Ornament Soldier and Woolly Mammoth. Which Winterfest rewards are best is up for debate, but in terms of quantity, this keeps Winterfest 2021 on par with last year’s event in Fortnite.

Fortnite Winterfest 2021’s Free Outfits Krisabelle And Polar Peely

As part of the Winterfest gifts, Fortnite is giving players two new Outfits. Fortnite players can unlock Krisabelle, a festive take on the popular Fortnite character Isabelle, and Polar Peely, a frosty version of Peely. Players can only open the gift containing the Krisabelle outfit after unwrapping the six gifts blocking her. Before players can receive Polar Peely, they’ll have to wait for his giftbox, which is made of ice, to thaw. In addition to the two new Outfits included in the Winterfest Lodge gifts, Epic Games is giving all Fortnite players who log in to the Epic Games Launcher during the Winterfest event another new Outfit inspired by Isabelle, Blizzabelle. Console players can log in to their Epic account on PC and open the Epic Games Launcher to obtain the new Outfit.

Complete Winterfest Quests In Fortnite’s Battle Royale Mode

Fortnite‘s Winterfest 2021 also brings a selection of Winter themed challenges and quests to earn XP and Battle Stars. Players will receive additional gifts for completing Winterfest quests. For completing seven Winterfest quests, players will receive a Snowmando Board Glider. For completing ten Winterfest 2021 quests in Fortnite, players will receive a Frosty Back Bling featuring an icy blue version of Fortnite‘s iconic llama. The Snowmando Board Glider includes two different styles: the Ice King Board and Llamadelica Board. Winterfest quests will likely be revealed daily, but known quests include damaging opponents with the new Snowball Launcher, and interacting with the new Holiday Presents to receive the rewards inside.

Fortnite Crew Members Get Additional Winterfest 2021 Rewards

In addition to the free content, members subscribed to the Fortnite Crew subscription service will receive an additional free gift during Winterfest 2021. Fortnite Crew is a monthly subscription service that unlocks the Battle Pass, free V-Bucks, and a free Outfit, with matching accessories each month. Crew membership is currently €11.99 a month in Europe and $11.99 a month in the US.

As part of Winterfest 2021, Fortnite Crew members will receive the Golden Look Board Glider when they log in during the Winterfest event period. Fortnite Crew membership can be canceled at any time so, if players want the Winterfest event Glider and this month’s Crew rewards, they can join the service for one month only and obtain the rewards during the Winterfest event period. If a Fortnite Crew subscription is canceled, the player keeps any previously awarded Battle Passes, V-Bucks, and Crew Packs after their membership ends.

Fortnite Creative Features Creator-Made Winterfest Mini-games

In addition to the free gifts for all Fortnite players, and quest rewards for Fortnite Battle Royale players, fans of Fortnite’s Creative mode can unlock additional Winterfest 2021 rewards by playing featured fan-made Winterfest minigame modes. In November 2021, Fortnite announced its Winter Creator Callout, where creators could submit their Fortnite Creative custom maps and minigames for a chance to be featured in the game. Fortnite featured Winter-themed creator-made minigames as part of Winterfest 2021. Fortnite players who play at least two hours of these creator-made Winterfest minigames during the Winterfest 2021 event period will unlock the following rewards:

Fortnite’s Winterfest 2021 is one of the battle royale game’s most generous events to date, with abundant free gifts for Fortnite players. To make the most of the event, players should log in daily to unwrap their presents before Winterfest ends. Fortnite players can enjoy everything Winterfest 2021 has to offer from December 16th, 2021 to January 6th, 2022. After Epic Games announced Fortnite was offline due to experiencing server issues on December 29th, 2021, Fortnite awarded its players an additional gift to open by way of an apology for the downtime. Players are currently unable to open the mysterious additional gift. It appears that the secret gift will become unwrappable towards the very end of Fortnite‘s Winterfest, with some fans speculating that another free outfit, like Polar Peely and Krisabelle, is on its way.
