The upcoming Hulu series How I Met Your Father is giving fans a closer look at the show’s characters’ new year resolutions with just weeks left before the series premiers on the streaming service. The series predecessor How I Met Your Mother was a highly adored CBS romantic sitcom that followed Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor) and his close-knit group of friends’ personal lives and romantic encounters throughout New York City. The beloved sitcom HIMYM spanned nine seasons over the course of nine years, capturing fans’ hearts with its unique storytelling and incredibly funny characters.  

The long-awaited spin-off series How I Met Your Father will see Hilary Duff taking on the lead role of Sophie, as the female fronted show will follow the same premise of the original series, with a few remixes, along with a more modern take. How I Met Your Father will follow Sophie and her friends in the 10-episode season as they enjoy all the terrors of dating apps and the horrors of present-day dating. The first season for the highly anticipated spin-off series How I Met Your Father is set to debut on Hulu on January 18.

The New Years’ resolutions video takes fans headfirst into the highly anticipated upcoming spin-off series How I Met Your Father, offering multiple perspectives about the relationships within the show’s main friend group. Chris Lowell, Francia Raisa, Tom Ainsley, Tien Tran, and Suraj Sharma are also set to star in the upcoming spin-off series alongside Duff. Kim Cattrall will also be portraying the older version of Sophie in the upcoming Hulu series, like how Bob Saget served as the narrator in How I Met Your Mother acting as the older version of Ted. 

In an industry that’s dripping in nostalgia, it leaves no question as to why the beloved How I Met Your Mother is finally getting its own spin-off series, with a modern twist. The upcoming spin-off series How I Met Your Father has added more diversity to the cast, while the story itself will see dating enhanced by modern technology, giving fans a smilier adventure thru a female lens. The modern romantic-comedy series How I Met Your Father is set to premiere on January 18, exclusively on Hulu.
