One of the benefits of streaming apps is that you can watch content on multiple devices at once — but does this rule also apply to Peacock? There are pros and cons with the constant rise of video streaming services. On the downside, having so many subscriptions to choose from can quickly add up and cost a lot of money every month. At the same time, that rampant competition pushes each service to be as good as it can be. That means streaming companies constantly compete to add new features and more content.

Peacock is one of the many streaming apps trying to do just that. Although it had a somewhat rocky launch in April 2020, it’s grown to be a pretty big name. Peacock’s added many live sporting events, more original programming, and is still the only place to watch The Office. It still has a ways to go before being as big as Netflix or Hulu, but there’s no doubt that Peacock now comes to mind as one of the main competitors in the streaming world.

With any streaming service, there are a few questions that immediately come to mind: Can you watch shows offline? Does it support multiple user profiles? Are there parental controls? Another critical question has to do with how many devices you can stream on at once. It’s no problem to use Peacock as a single person on one device, but what if someone wants to have their account logged into multiple devices? There’s good and bad news here. The good news is that there’s no limit to how many devices a Peacock account can be logged in to. If someone wants to put their account on a few smartphones, a laptop, and a couple of TVs, they can do all of that without a hitch.

Peacock Has A Strict Limit For Simultaneous Viewing

The bad news revolves around simultaneous streaming. As it currently stands, a Peacock account can only have up to three simultaneous streams at a time. This applies to any tier of Peacock’s subscription. Whether you have Peacock Free, Premium, or Premium Plus, the same three-device limit applies. If three people are already using the same Peacock account to watch something, another stream can’t be started until one of the current ones ends.

Compared to other streaming services, Peacock falls right in the middle. Netflix and Disney+ both beat Peacock by allowing users to stream content on up to four devices at once. However, Peacock’s three-device cap is better than Hulu’s standard limit of only two simultaneous streams. There’s certainly room for Peacock to improve on this front, but it’s also not the worst in this regard.
