As a co-op ghost hunting game, Phasmophobia has become a huge hit. With its creepy ghosts and intense gameplay, there’s a lot to love about the game. However, Phasmophobia is currently only available on Steam and compatible with PC. This would normally mean Mac users can’t play the game, but fans have found ways to enjoy Phasmophobia while still playing on a Mac.

Phasmophobia puts four players at a location and tasks them with discovering what kind of spirit is haunting the place. Using a variety of tools, the investigation into paranormal activity can quickly go wrong as ghosts turn violent. Developer Kinetic Games is working on updates and new content, including some new Phasmophobia maps and locations. For now, though, it doesn’t look like Phasmophobia will be coming to Mac anytime soon.

This hasn’t stopped Mac users from playing the game, however. The hit horror title can still be played using a Mac, but it will require some work. Unlike the various Phasmophobia cheats and hacks people are using in the game, most of the ways to play Phasmophobia on Mac are fairly legitimate and still require people to pay for the game. People will have to decide for themselves if getting to experience Phasmophobia on a Mac is worth the extra effort though.

How To Play Phasmophobia On Mac

Currently, there’s a number of software programs that can help Mac users play PC games. However, performance issues and other troubles can occur, which is why people will have to weigh their options for themselves. A common way of playing Phasmophobia on Mac is using Parallels software. This virtualization software allows players to boot up Windows from a Mac. However, because it isn’t native, there are performance issues and graphical quality problems that can arise from using this method.

The most popular method for playing Steam games on Mac computers is by using Boot Camp. Among Us fans commonly use this method to play the game on Mac, and the same concept works for playing Phasmophobia. In order to do this, players will need to launch Boot Camp and then install Windows. Then, they can purchase and download Phasmophobia from Steam. This will allow people to play Phasmophobia natively, but performance issues can still occur.
