How to Beat Abomination in Marvel’s Avengers (Campaign Boss Guide)

AIM in Marvel’s Avengers has access to a wide array of different enemies at their disposal that will cause players a lot of trouble. Fighting against different types of robots and soldiers in the game can become extremely difficult as the game goes on. Players will be forced to stay on their toes and learn the intricacies of combat in the game if they want to properly face off against all of these assorted enemies.

One of the most difficult but interesting aspects of the game is the boss battles though, and the super-villain Abomination puts up a considerable challenge against players. The massive green monster is a perfect match for Hulk, which makes this fight a tough one for players just getting used to Hulk’s move set. This guide will show players how to bring down Abomination during the campaign.

Marvel’s Avengers: How to Beat Abomination

The campaign for Marvel’s Avengers, while very good, can be considered something of an extended tutorial for the multiplayer portion. Player will learn exactly how each of the characters operates, so the fight against Abomination is like a final test for Hulk players. Players will need to know how to use all of Hulk’s hero abilities as well as dodging and throwing rocks to bring the monster down.

The first phase of the fight has players face off against Abomination inside of a room full of generators. Abomination’s attacks are fairly similar to Hulk’s so players should just dodge his regular punches and stay out of his attack range as much as possible. Each hit from the boss is capable of knocking out a solid portion of health from the player. If a red marker appears above Abomination’s head, players should dodge out of the way of his overhead slam attack as quickly as possible and then follow up with a quick counterattack. Players can also lure the boss to the electrified generators in the room and throw rocks to explode them and deal damage to him.

After dealing a certain amount of damage players will be able to initiate a takedown on Abomination and move to the second phase of the fight. This brings players to a larger room where Abomination alters his attack patterns. Abomination will release a green poisonous gas that is will damage the player over time, so they should avoid the cloud until it dissipates. Abomination will also leap into the air and slam down on top of the player. If he jumps in the air, players should move out of the way of the red indicator that will appear on the ground. They will then have a short window to counterattack. Keep dodging and counterattacking to finally bring Abomination down.
