How to Beat Betty in Death’s Door (Boss Fight)

During the course of Death’s Door, players will have to up against many difficult challenges. Puzzles will impede the player’s progress, difficult enemies will work to kill the player at every turn, and even the environment itself can be complicated to navigate. Those who hope to see the game through to the end will need to be quick on their feet and be able to think hard about their every move.

Much like the Dark Souls series, the more difficult parts of the game are the number of bosses that the player has to go up against. Players who want to succeed in the game will need to know the best ways to defeat these bosses. Luckily, the boss Betty is one of the easier bosses in the game if the player knows what they are doing.

Death’s Door: How to Beat Betty

Betty may seem large and imposing, but Death’s Door players will quickly find out how much of a pushover she can be. As long as the player can make good use of the dodging mechanic and are properly upgraded they should be able to make their way through both of Betty’s phases without much struggle. Here is how to beat her in each of her phases:

Phase 1 – During the first phase, Betty will start by jumping around a bit and trying to land on top of the player’s head. After each jump, she will swipe at the player a few times. Move out of the way and attack her from the side when she is swiping. After that, Betty will roll up into a ball and roll around the fighting area. Just keep moving to stay out of the way of this. Once finished, she will start jumping again and the pattern will reset. After enough damage has been done she will switch to the second phase.

Phase 2 – The second phase starts with Betty roaring at the player and tossing a snowball at them that will need to be dodged very quickly. From here, the fight will continue as it did in the first phase until she takes a decent amount of damage. She will then start raining snowballs down from the sky that the player can keep track of by watching their shadows as they fall. The snowballs will fall for the rest of the fight and the player must avoid her other attacks from phase one at the same time. Just keep attacking her when there is an opening and Betty will go down in no time.

Death’s Door can be played on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
