Tribes of Midgard features a lengthy roster of fantastical enemies, including the final boss in Saga mode, Fenrir. Fenrir is a towering wolf located near the broken bridge to Glacier Peaks. Fenrir can be a difficult fight for solo players and groups alike. While the fight may initially seem daunting, Fenrir is not a complex enemy to defeat with the correct preparation.

To defeat Fenrir in Tribes of Midgard‘s final boss fight, players will have to explore the map and sustain the Seed of Yggdrasil with Souls. During exploration in the days leading up to the boss fight, players will also need to gather a variety of resources. Players must use these resources to upgrade their character and unlock the obstacles that precede Fenrir.

Fenrir can only be reached by repairing the broken bridge to Glacier Peaks and unlocking the lair in which he resides. Players should spend the days before the boss fight completing quests, events, and hideouts, and gathering other necessary resources. Once Fenrir’s lair is unlocked with the right resources, the final boss fight is on.

Gathering Necessary Resources & Defeating Fenrir In Tribes Of Midgard

To repair the broken bridge to reach Fenrir in Tribes of Midgard, players must have:

  • 2500 Souls
  • 50 Cut Stone
  • 10 Ancient Core
  • 30 Wrought Iron

To unlock Fenrir’s lair, players must have:

  • 15 Jotunn Fragments
  • 5 Hideout Fragments
  • 50 Event Fragments
  • 25 Quest Fragments

Players must set up a quarry as quickly as possible to gain 50 Cut Stone and 30 Wrought Iron. The resources will be passively created for later use. Gaining Souls is achieved through typical gameplay activities, such as killing enemies and gathering resources. Along the way, players must complete hideouts, events, and quests to gather the fragments needed to open the lair. Players will also need to kill invading Jotunn bosses to gather Jotunn Fragments.

Once players reach Fenrir, the boss fight is triggered. Fenrir has many resistances, so it is important players use non-elemental weapons like bows and melee weapons. Players should also have backup weapons just in case their durability depletes and they can’t stop to repair.

Fenrir has four attacks: Wolf Howl, Earthquake, Leaping Crash, and Ferocious Bite. Wolf Howl is an AoE attack that knocks players back. Earthquake spawns circles on the ground where rocks eventually fall, crushing anyone in their way. Leaping Crash is a leaping attack, and Ferocious Bite is a front-facing chomp attack.

Staying behind Fenrir is the best tactic for defeating him. Focusing on his back legs and tail keeps players out of range of his melee attacks and gives an opportunity to strike. Keep repeating bow attacks and melee attacks toward Fenrir’s legs and tail until the boss is defeated. Fenrir’s health does not reset when players leave his lair, so players can battle the boss in portions. This gives players the chance to defend the Seed of Yggdrasil from attacks, which still occur during the Fenrir boss fight. With some dedication and proper preparation, players can swiftly beat the final Saga mode boss, Fenrir, in Tribes of Midgard. If players aren’t confident they will win the fight against Fenrir, it may be a good choice to use the Bifrost to keep the necessary resources for a new run.

Tribes of Midgard is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
