Mario cannot directly destroy the Bowser Blocks himself. Rather, the player will have to wait until Bowser takes the stage and begins to attack Mario. The player will then need to lead Fury Bowser to the location of the Bowser Blocks and his fiery breath will destroy them. Although, Fury Bowser will stop at nothing from attacking Mario so be careful when engaging.

For those players with a Bowser amiibo, they can use it to instantly summon Fury Bowser and save a bit of time. Several items and Cat Shines can be found hidden behind these Bowser Blocks so make sure to keep track of where they are in Lake Lapcat. In order to unlock the game’s secret ending, the player will need to collect all 100 Cat Shines. Breaking these Bowser Blocks will help players reach that goal.
