Subnautica: Below Zero is a game centered around adventuring across the planet known as 4546B. A frigid, water-based planet, 4546B has a vast underwater world to explore. While players can explore by swimming or using a Sea Glide to guide them, there are better options for navigating the icy waters of 4546B. One of the best movement options in Subnautica: Below Zero is the Seatruck. This guide describes how to build it.

The Seatruck allows players to traverse the alien planet’s waterscape with ease. Not only does the Seatruck allow players to move faster in the water, but it also supplies oxygen to the player while they are inside it. While there are many benefits to using the Seatruck, players must remember it requires energy derived from Power Cells, so it is important to keep some on hand when using the underwater vehicle.

Before building the Seatruck, players must locate the vehicle’s three fragments to unlock the blueprint for the Seatruck Cabin. The fragments can be easily located within a few minutes. Starting at the drop pod location, swim about 400 meters directly south of the drop pod. Around the 400-meter mark, players should see the Thermal Spires underneath them in the water. Drop into the water below and circle the Thermal Spires in a counterclockwise pattern. The Seatruck fragments will be clustered not too far from each other. The fragments seem to spawn around the 100-meter depth mark, but can be located at various similar depths depending on the spawns.

Subnautica: Below Zero: Building The Seatruck

Once players have located all three Seatruck fragments, they will be ready to start fabricating the items needed to construct the Seatruck Cabin. First, players must use a fabricator to create a Mobile Vehicle Bay. The Mobile Vehicle Bay is made by combining titanium ingot, lubricant, and a computer chip. After the Mobile Vehicle Bay has been created, players can launch the bay into the water. The Mobile Vehicle Bay will float to the water’s surface, allowing players to board it and build vehicles. Open the Mobile Vehicle Bay menu, go to the vehicle tab, and build the Seatruck using titanium ingot, an advanced wiring kit, two glass, three lead, and a power cell.

The Seatruck Cabin is not the only module players can build for the vehicle. Six more modules can be built and attached to the cabin. Each module provides players with a new feature for the submarine. The Aquarium Module captures nearby fish, the Docking Module allows for the Prawn Suit to be docked, the Fabricator Module contains a fabricator, the Sleeper Module has a bed and jukebox, the Storage Module has five storage containers, and the Teleportation Module has a tool allowing players to teleport back to The Seatruck. Combining all the modules together creates a massive, bus-like submarine capable of traversing Planet 4546B with style.
