Receiving money on Cash App is extremely simple, but after getting funds in your account, how do you cash out and transfer them to your bank? There are numerous apps for transferring money back and forth between friends and family. Between Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, Apple Pay Cash, and sending money via Facebook Messenger, the options are practically endless.

Another hugely popular option is Cash App. The core of Cash App revolves around sending/receiving money from other users. However, there’s also a lot more to it. Cash App users can trade stocks, invest in Bitcoin, add their direct deposit, file their taxes for free, and even get a free debit card with cashback deals on brands like Instacart and Burger King. Having so much functionality is great — but it can also make finding certain features a bit difficult.

One of the most basic features of Cash App is the ability to cash out your money. If you receive funds from someone, cashing out them out allows you to easily move that money from Cash App to another bank account or credit union. So long as you know where to look, cashing out on Cash App is quite easy. Open Cash App and tap the button in the bottom left corner (it’ll be the one showing how much money is in your Cash App account). Tap ‘Cash Out’ on this page, enter how much money you want to transfer, and then tap the green ‘Cash Out’ button at the bottom of the screen.

How Long It Takes To Cash Out Your Cash App Money

After tapping the Cash Out button, users are asked to make a decision of how quickly they want their money transferred. If you choose the ‘Standard’ option, cashed out funds take between one and three business days. Some funds are available the next day, some are available in two days, and others may take the full three days. It all depends on which bank you’re transferring money to and how quickly they process that money. The big upside of using the Standard option is that it’s 100 percent free. It may take a little longer, but you won’t pay a thing to cash out your money this way.

The other option Cash App offers is ‘Instant.’ As the name suggests, transferring with Instant makes your money available instantly. However, it also comes with a small fee. Users who cash out with Instant can expect to pay between 0.5 and 1.75 percent of the funds they’re cashing out (with a minimum fee of $0.25). Whether or not that’s worth it depends entirely on you. If you need your money right away, the option to cash out instantly is great to have. However, if you don’t mind waiting a day or two, you might as well choose Standard and keep all of your money.
